ABOUT THE JOB
We are the RISK function, the Group’s independent second line of defence.
Our Iberian Hub in Madrid supports Credit, Market, Operational and Data‑Protection teams with consulting, AI, modelling and cyber‑security.
We partner with the business to sustain growth while guarding the Group’s risk appetite.
As a Vice President, Senior Credit Officer you will safeguard the bank’s exposure to securitisation activities. You will deliver holistic credit assessments, represent RISK in approval committees, and ensure governance frameworks are robust across EMEA and APAC. Your analysis will directly influence the soundness of leveraged‑loan financing and other structured‑product portfolios.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
- Conduct end‑to‑end credit reviews, covering capital, strategy, ESG and stress‑testing.
- Lead RISK delegation in securitisation credit committees and present clear opinions.
- Prepare minutes, record regulatory parameters and disseminate decisions promptly.
- Escalate adverse risk developments and manage portfolio reviews with analysts.
- Drive process improvements and contribute to the permanent control framework.
PROFILE & SKILLS:
Studies:
- Advanced degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Finance, Economics or related field.
Experience:
- 10+ years of securitisation risk experience at a major bank or rating agency (EMEA/APAC).
- Deep expertise in leveraged‑loan portfolio financing and at least three securitised‑product classes.
Languages:
- Fluency in English; additional European language a plus.
Skills:
Business Skills (3 max from skills catalogue)
- Comprehensive securitisation risk expertise – deep credit, market, liquidity and counter‑party assessment across EMEA/APAC, gained at large banks (and preferably rating agencies).
- Advanced leveraged‑loan and structured‑product knowledge – hands‑on experience financing leveraged‑loan portfolios and a broad range of securitised assets (ABS, RMBS, CLO, swaps, etc.) with proven ability to manage end‑to‑end transactions and multi‑deal pipelines.
- Strategic execution & regulatory acumen – autonomous handling of delegation authority, due‑diligence visits, stress‑testing, and application of regulatory‑capital and rating‑agency frameworks to complex securitisation deals.
