Global Banking is one of the three main global businesses in CIB. With an organization in each region, Global Banking offers a full range of products and services to BNP Paribas’ Corporate and Institutional clients globally, including debt financing solutions, mergers and acquisitions, primary activity on the equity markets and transaction banking solutions. Global Banking is also entrusted with the Coverage of the Corporate clients in the region, with the mandate to provide them with the breadth and depth of the bank’s services.
The COO office of Global Banking Americas (GBA) works in close partnership with the leadership of Global Banking and CIB across business and functions in the Americas region and globally to drive the development and implementation of GBA’s strategic objectives and industrialization plan.
The Transversal Business Management team reports to the COO of Global Banking Americas and supports the group with transversal topics that enhance the effectiveness of the product and client teams, deliver implementation of the industrialization initiatives of the GBA platform in full alignment with the global strategy and execute on a variety of projects to support further growth, increase operational efficiency with optimal use of resources and minimization of risk.
As part of this team, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager with experience in the banking environment, to lead and manage various projects aimed at supporting business operations, industrialization, and transformation. This role is heavily focused on data management and includes business management tasks. The candidate will work closely with the Head of GBA Transformation.
In detail
The team members are responsible of the following activities:
- Projects
- Follow up and coordinate the portfolio of transversal GBA initiatives.
- Lead, oversee, execute or contribute to GB transformation and industrialization projects to deliver efficiency, support GBA growth or reduce operational risk.
- Develop and implement project plans, including business case, project scope, objectives, deliverables, governance, timelines, and budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including and not limited to business, IT, operations, finance, HR, compliance, legal and global project/business teams, to ensure project success.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Analyze data to support decision-making and drive project outcomes.
- Prepare and present project reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets and resources effectively.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Business, Process & Data Management
- Develop a thorough understanding of the business covered (organization, people, roles, drivers, workflow).
- Act as a strategic partner for the business line heads to help them build the business strategy, optimize their internal governance and anticipate regulatory hurdles.
- Deliver data-driven insights and analysis to support various presentations, business case development, performance analysis and strategic planning. Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the data used and adapt the content to the audience.
- Assist and provide excellent support on various business ad-hoc tasks.
- Recognize opportunities for industrialization of data and processes and come up with efficient solutions to drive change.

Work conditions: This position provides for standard working conditions in an office and a normal work schedule from Monday to Friday. This position requires little travel.
The strengths and skills that will help you succeed
- Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Knowledge of English is required,
- French is a plus,
- Undergraduate degree required,
- Minimum of 8 years of working experience in project management with Proven experience in managing data-focused projects and business transformation initiatives,
- 3+ years’ experience in Corporate Banking or Consulting firm is recommended,
- Good knowledge of banking organization and products, in particular Corporate Banks and Investment Banking,
- Effective written and oral communication skills with a strong attention to detail. Confident in working with executive management and actively exchange with Business Heads and Senior Management,
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to easily interpret, create and communicate the underlying storyline behind the numbers in a succinct fashion for senior management,
- Exceptional MS Excel and PowerPoint skills,
- Knowledge of Alteryx, Tableau or Power BI,
- Teamwork mindset, strong work ethics, and a proactive and practical approach,
- Ability to work well under pressure and always with a professional attitude.
