About Business line/Function :

Global Market Operations, also known as COCE (client operating center of excellence), is further divided into 4 departments: Trade Processing & Support, Product Control, Client Management & Change Management. Product Control in the wider market outside of BNP is the Middle Office. Product Control consists of streams like Documentation & Reconciliation, Trade Support, P&L & Trading Portfolio & controls. Product Control teams are in regular contact with Market Front Office, Regional Back Office’s and Regional Finance & other support teams for their BAU.



Position Purpose


The Product Control teams collaborate daily with the Market Front Office, Regional Back‑Office, Finance and other support functions. The incumbent will deliver efficient, well‑controlled operational support for Bonds and Repo activities across Global Markets and the ALMT franchise. Working closely with sales, trading and clients in the APAC region (ex‑Japan), the role leads the Bond Trade Support team, develops talent, and ensures robust process ownership as the Subject‑Matter‑Expert/Team Lead.


Key Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

Contribute to BNP Paribas’ permanent control framework and uphold the highest operational standards.

Reduce operational failures and fraud risk by designing, implementing and monitoring regular controls.

Escalate issues promptly to management, permanent control or compliance as appropriate.

Ensure compliance with all internal policies, external regulations and the BNPP Code of Conduct and IT‑Security rules.

Execute AML/Financial‑Sanctions duties: apply Group AML/FS policies, perform related operational controls and escalate any hits for analysis.

Provide day‑to‑day support to Asia‑Pacific (ex‑Japan) marketers and traders on bond and repo products, including:

Resolving trade/settlement discrepancies.

Re‑conciling front‑office pre‑confirmations with external client confirmations and internal deal‑capture systems.

Processing trade exceptions and monitoring status.

Setting up and updating client SSIs (Standard Settlement Instructions).

Responding to internal back/middle‑office and external client queries.

Maintain accurate collection, upkeep and periodic refresh of client SSIs and confirmation details.

Contributing Responsibilities

Build and sustain strong relationships with Front‑Office, Back‑Office and Middle‑Office stakeholders worldwide.

Liaise closely with local management to align on priorities, resources and continuous‑improvement initiatives.



Required Qualifications, Competencies and Experience, 


• Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) with minimum 7 years in operational support, preferably within 

• Investment‑Bank Bond Operations or Trade Support. Prior middle‑office or operational experience is mandatory.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite – especially Excel; ability to learn new systems quickly.

• Strong Domain Knowledge in financial markets and investment banking.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

• Team player who can also operate independently.

• Comfortable collaborating across Sales, Trading, Accounting, Technology and other MO teams.

• Strong control focus with solid financial and operational acumen.
