F08 - FINANCE ACCOUNTS AND MANAGEMENT CONTROL

Beschreibung

In a changing world, unprecedented challenges require unmatched talent. Join one of Montreal's Top Employers in 2025. We are a dynamic and growing organization having its main establishment located in downtown Montreal and part of a leading international banking institution fully committed to building a more sustainable future. Note that the position may be in the Canadian Branch of BNP Paribas or in one of its subsidiaries based in Montreal.

The position at a glance

The Senior business analyst / project manager will lead the implementation of a vast array of projects around the bank general ledger focused on management accounting. Those projects aim at expanding business capabilities for our clients, complying with new regulations, or rationalizing the bank’s internal processes.

The role blends deep business‑analysis expertise with end‑to‑end project‑management responsibility and is therefore suited to a seasoned professional who can both shape the solution vision and drive the disciplined execution needed to bring it to life – while bringing solid knowledge of core banking and capital‑markets products.

In detail

The role oversees the finance‑project portfolio and leads the team to align its activities with the Finance COO’s objectives. Clear priorities are established for project allocation, delivery schedules and key performance indicators, while SMART goals are set for each team member.

Daily operations, stakeholder expectations and budget compliance are continuously managed, and senior leadership—including the CFO and Finance COO—is kept fully informed through concise KPI dashboards and regular communications. By fostering transparent dialogue between local and central management, the role ensures that the team’s efforts are harmonized with broader corporate targets and that resources are deployed efficiently.

The team’s project‑management remit encompasses the configuration of management‑accounting reporting streams for all Americas entities, covering the allocation of metrics across dimensions such as NBI, COR, NOR OpEx, CapEx and HC, and the extraction of data from various ledgers into Group reporting tools (SOLAAR, PERSEUS). This also includes the alignment with Group standards and the parametrization of the calculation of cost‑of‑funding and cost‑of‑carry.

The role manages interdependence with P&L, ALMT, accounting, credit‑risk and liquidity reporting. Responsibilities also include analyzing business processes, gathering user requirements, designing and coordinating testing plans, and providing subject‑matter expertise on finance systems.

As program manager, the role designs the program, monitors progress, resolves issues, defines governance and collaborates with fellow project managers to identify risks and opportunities, conducting risk assessments tailored to each project’s nature.
