Position Purpose

This role will be responsible for FATCA / AEOI / QI / QDD coordination & reporting activities

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

Support the FATCA / AEOI reporting activities in Singapore and SEA (Malaysia, Indonesia,Thailand and Vietnam)

  • The role will require strong knowledge of the FATCA and AEOI regulations, and how they apply to financial institutions in Singapore and SEA.
  • The end-to-end reporting process will involve collecting and validating data, preparing reports, submitting them to the relevant authorities, and maintaining accurate records and archives.
  • The role will also involve monitoring the progress of the reporting process, identifying and addressing any issues or errors, and providing updates to stakeholders.
  • As the single contact point for FATCA and AEOI matters, the role will require strong
  • communication and liaison skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues in Paris and other locations.

 

Support the NQI/QI/QDD reporting and control for APAC entities

  • To provide advisory and supervisory support to Ops teams vis-à-vis the requirements of the NQI/QI/QDD regimes.
  • To support control execution to affirm the quality of the control framework.
  • To partner with OPC teams and provide expertise-driven perspective in terms of control framework deployment and incident management.

 

Contributing Responsibilities

  • The role will also involve staying up-to-date with changes to local regulatory environments and internal business activities that may impact reporting entities, and escalating issues to higher-level advisory support as needed.
  • The deployment and testing of new reporting tools will require technical skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to provide training and support to colleagues in APAC
  • Collaborating with other teams, such as tax, compliance, and operations, to ensure a cohesive approach on above-mentioned topics.

 

Technical & Behavioral Competencies 

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Operational backgrounds in Banking [Back Office, Finance, Transversal, etc.
  • Must have a background with Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), Automatic Exchange of Information.
  • Strong familiarity with project management documentation [Process maps, Gantt chart, Procedure]
  • Must have an accounting background and be able to support the coordination of FATCA / AEOI / QI/ QDD reporting activities
  • Must have a proactive attitude and be able to take initiatives as necessary
  • Excellent Communication skills and strong stakeholder management abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or any related field
