📈 MISSION
As a Finance Intern, you will support Local Finance and the Shared Service Centre through the full financial cycle. You will assist in monthly closing, financial reporting and tax compliance, while promoting automation to improve quality and speed. You will also contribute to performance management by preparing KPI reports and analysing variances. Your work will directly help Nickel’s mission of inclusive banking.

📊 WHAT YOU’LL DO

• You support the monthly financial closing, preparing trial balances, balance sheet and income statement.
• You promote automation of reporting processes to increase reliability and reduce lead time.
• You assist in compiling and automating regulatory tax reports for the finance function.
• You collaborate on KPI reporting, committee decks and performance review presentations.
• You manage all accounting transactions in the General Ledger, ensuring timely reconciliations.
• You perform periodic financial analysis to identify and resolve variances.

💡 WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• You hold a university degree in Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• You are fluent in English; French is a plus.
• You demonstrate strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• You can define and track relevant performance indicators.
• You are a team player with excellent collaboration skills.
