About the job

  • As a Group ALM Treasury (‘ALMT’) department, Global Markets ALMT (‘GMAT’) team is responsible for Global Markets’ assets and liabilities analysis, setting internal rules, defining fund transfer pricing, operationally managing Global Markets liquidity and monitoring liquidity indicators in order to minimize liquidity risks and costs by giving the right incentives to the business across regions. GMAT operates within the Group ALCO designed framework.

    GMAT is organized in two teams in Paris and London interacting with GM Global Business Lines (‘GBL’) and ALMT, with regional correspondents in Asia and the US, and a team in Portugal responsible for producing and monitoring the liquidity indicators

Your Main Activities Are

  • Assist in the production and monitoring of reports for Liquidity metrics at desk/product level

  • Contribute to analysis and explain variations by liaising with Front Offi­ce teams, Finance and Risk departments 

  • Assist on consolidation and explain of Global Markets’ scope to the Group’s Liquidity Metrics: LCR, NSFR, Liquidity Gap, Stress Test, Debt issuances

  • Participate to Group indicators' implementation, from their methodological definition to the coordination of IT systems evolutions required to produce them

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Master’s degree or higher in Engineering, preferably with a major in Applied Mathematics and Finance

  • Very good knowledge of programming languages (Python, VBA, SQL)

  • Good knowledge of Excel

  • Analytical and quantitative skills

  • Ability to process large amount of data and make extractions from various systems

  • Ability to communicate clearly in both oral and written form (in English)

  • Attention to details, autonomy and proactivity

  • Team spirit and ability to work with others

  • Global Markets is BNP Paribas’ capital markets business within Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB), delivering solutions across asset classes, and industry-leading services for clients including Institutional, corporate, private banks and retail distribution networks. Our Portugal Platform (Porto and Lisbon) is a major HUB in Europe and certainly unique in the country by its size and its scope of activity, with all Front Office roles present (Trading, Sales, Research, Structuring, Quant & Engineering, Business Dev and Support, Marketing & Client Support, Risk Management, Data Analytics and Machine Learning…).
