Join our multidisciplinary Firewall & Proxy Security team at BNP Paribas Fortis and help safeguard the bank’s ability to withstand serious system failures. 
A security firewall is a critical security measure that controls and filters network traffic to prevent unauthorized access to our network or system. It acts as a barrier between an internal network and the internet, allowing only permitted traffic to pass through while blocking suspicious or malicious activities. By deploying a firewall, we can better protect our network and data from potential threats and improve our overall security posture. 
 
 As a highly skilled Security OPS Engineer, you will :

• Be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the security infrastructure of our organization, with a specific emphasis on firewall and proxy solutions. 
• Work closely with our security team to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.
• Work in Agile mode, which offers a challenging and motivating environment where teams and employees are empowered to manage their own technical domain. 
• Work with our stakeholders and partners of the business, the rest of the local IT or with BNP Paribas IT Group. 
• Monitor and analyze events/incidents/problems.
• Contribute to the migration of BNPPF assets to the group’s cloud infra.
• Help in 3^rd line security support and incident response, related to authentication, authorization or vulnerability issues.
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to other teams on security-related matters
  

YOUR TALENTS AND COMPETENCES

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a security engineering role, with a focus on firewall and proxy technologies 
• In-depth knowledge of firewall and proxy solutions, including configuration, management, and troubleshooting
• Experience with security protocols and standards, such as SSL/TLS, IPsec, and HTTPS 
• Strong understanding of network protocols and architectures, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP 
• Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) systems and log analysis tools 
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders 
• Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH, are highly desirable
• Nice to have : 
  1. Experience with cloud-based security solutions and technologies, such as AWS or Azure
  2. Knowledge of scripting languages, such as Python or PowerShell
  3. Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git
  4. Experience with security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) tools
  5. Excellent knowledge of English is mandatory, both spoken and written. 
  6. Proficiency in French and/or Dutch is an asset.
