Are you a data-savvy professional, passionate about turning raw data into actionable insights ? 

As an Internal auditor - data Analyst in the audit team of Inspection Générale (IG) Hub Brussels, Factor, you will play a crucial role in supporting management and audit teams through reliable data delivery, analysis and dashboarding. In this way, you will contribute to the evaluation of the effectiveness of governance, risk management and control processes.

This is a role for a practical, hands-on data professional who enjoys ensuring processes run reliably as much as building new solutions.

and in detail

• You contribute to internal audit assignments by
  1. collaborating with internal auditors to understand data needs and deliver insights efficiently ;
  2. supporting audit teams in sourcing and preparing data for audit activities. This includes data extraction from data warehouses and operational systems, the transformation of data and the preparation for analysis.
• You develop, enhance and maintain solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (PowerBI, PowerApps, PowerAutomate) and Python.
• You document data processes and contribute to their continuous improvement.
• You are responsible for maintaining and running the automated processes that feed our (Power BI) dashboards and ensure these tools operate smoothly and reliably. 
• You maintain SharePoint sites that serve as internal communication platforms and dashboard visualization tools.

Your talents and competences

• You have a proven experience in a data analyst or data engineering role.
• You have a good understanding of the bank’s data platforms and a strong knowledge and hands-on experience with data tools like
  1. The Microsoft Power Platform: Power BI (data modelling, DAX, dashboard development), Power Automate (workflow automation), PowerApps (basic application development and support)
  2. BI4
  3. SAS
• Experience with Python for data transformation and analysis is a strong plus.
• You have a solid understanding of data governance, quality, and security principles.

Furthermore

• You can use English as a working language for both verbal and written communication. You master at least one national language (French or Dutch) and possess a working knowledge of the other.
• You have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• You are able to work autonomously, manage priorities, and respect deadlines.
• You have excellent organizational skills with the ability to work on different topics simultaneously.
• You proactively and enthusiastically contribute as a team player with a professional, result-driven, and client-oriented approach.
• You are entrepreneurial and continuously seek for improvement.
