The role

Strutt & Parker’s Cambridge office is seeking a new member to join the rural consultancy and management team. As a key office within Strutt & Parker, we have a growing team with a wealth of opportunity for career progression.  


We undertake the full range of rural services for our clients, offering a diversity of work in management, consultancy, valuation, farming and environmental services.  The role will involve a blend of estate management and consultancy working within the team but with opportunities to work with other disciplines within the office. 


We are looking for a real team player – someone with energy, drive and a wish to grow and further their career in rural surveying. 


In this role you will:

    Work with the Director and senior members of the team in delivering high quality work for key clients

    Act as supporting agent for a selection of estate management clients offering well rounded, professional advice.

    Undertake estate and farming business reviews. 

    Ensure the achievement of key client deliverables.

    Adhere to internal and client process and compliance standards.

    Support opportunities to leverage skills and expertise to develop new business for the wider team.

    Display innovative thinking to assist with introductions and delivery of new business.

    Undertake secured lending and other professional valuations.

    Manage and lead trainees within the team.

    Mentor and coach junior members of the team.

    Monitor the profitability of the client relationship and seek to identify and develop new business opportunities.


About you:

    A competent and experienced MRICS qualified rural surveyor with an appropriate record of delivering work across a range of projects.

    Capable of building relationships with existing and new clients and generating new opportunities.  

    Possessed of a composed manner in order to be able to work under pressure.

    Have good time management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and achieve deadlines.

    Value accuracy and attention to detail

    Display excellent communication skills - must be capable of building and maintaining good relationships with team members, other colleagues, and clients.

    Hold a full UK drivers licence


Qualifications:

    Relevant undergraduate/postgraduate degree or equivalent.

    MRICS qualified – preferably Rural pathway with 6 months to 2 years PQE.

    Preferably RICS registered Valuer or working towards this

    CAAV membership/qualification an advantage.
