Financial Reporting Analyst  - @Amsterdam, F/M/X

We are looking for a Financial Reporting Analyst for our Financial Reporting department, that is situated within the Securities Services business line of BNP Paribas SA Amsterdam Branch.

The position you’re applying for/Your new role

The Financial Reporting Analyst is situated within CIB2S Netherlands in Amsterdam and reports directly to the head of Reporting Services within Client Delivery CIB2S Netherlands. 

 

You are the driving force for new developments and preparing stable delivery of change to production and will overlook the change process from beginning to end. Main goal is to continuously optimize and professionalize CIB2S Financial Reporting department Netherlands and to contribute to the CIB2S Financial Reporting department and overall strategy. 

 

Your responsibilities

  • Timely, accurate and complete Financial Reporting to the BNP Paribas’ clients
  • The preparation of (semi-) annual reports for the benefit of different clients (investment funds and pension funds) in accordance with Dutch GAAP, Belgian GAAP and IFRS)
  • Be the first point of contact for Dutch clients and auditor of clients regarding financial reporting queries
  • Be on top of changes in legislation and market practices with regard to financial reporting         
  • Participate in the migration and onboarding projects and analyze developments in the field of financial reporting
  • To maintain and develop systems and processes, ensuring the appropriate balance between control and efficiency
  • Contribute to the management of operational risks and internal control
  • Ensuring high quality of service to clients 
  • Participate in improvement projects, for example process optimizations and the description of administrative processes and procedures
  • Implementing changes in processes as a result of changes in laws and regulations, clients wishes or new clients.

Who are you

  • Bachelor or University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in Financial Services or within an audit firm 
  • Knowledge and experience in accounting and financial reporting
  • Knowledge and understanding of preparing financial statements in accordance with Dutch GAAP (specifically RJ 610 and 615), Belgian GAAP and IFRS
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and good general IT skills
  • Ability to develop efficient working relationships with various stakeholders locally and abroad
  • Understanding of business needs of major international & domestic investment institutions and their objectives in using BNP Paribas CIB products
  • Native Dutch and fluent in English, both verbally and written
  • Team player, proactive and risk-aware 

 

Job related competencies:

  • You have a proven ability to work within an integrated management system such as SimCorp Dimension or Multifonds
  • You are analytical, accurate and able to work with tight deadlines
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written) and you are a client friendly communicator
