AND IN DETAIL
As our Tribe Test Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
- Managing the tribe’s test strategy, grounded in quality standards and risk management.
- Leading test activities at the release train level from planning and execution to budget oversight.
- Ensuring end-to-end accountability for test scope and coverage, spanning functional and non-functional testing.
- Collaborating closely with team members, chapter leads, and engineers to deliver on these goals.
You’ll achieve this by:
- Defining methodologies, tools, and processes to elevate testing standards.
- Guiding squads in implementing the test strategy effectively.
- Guaranteeing quality and coverage in end-to-end testing.
- Maximizing efficiency by reusing validated test deliverables and identifying synergies.
- Maintaining the regression test suite and partnering with product owners.
- Overseeing non-functional tests and driving structural solutions for defects.
- Reporting test progress to stakeholders with clarity and precision.
- Proactively analyzing risks and potential delays in testing.
- Serving as the go-to expert for all test strategy and execution questions.
YOUR TALENTS AND COMPETENCES
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Master’s degree (preferably in Business Administration, Engineering, IT) or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of structured & risk-based testing.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle management and methodologies.
- Understanding of functional, application, and infrastructure architecture.
- Hands-on experience with test and automation tools (e.g., QC, Cucumber, Soap, service virtualization).
- Basic knowledge of banking products/processes is a plus.
- Collaborative mindset: Bridges communication between stakeholders (customers, testers, suppliers).
- Results-driven: Adapts to context and delivers optimal outcomes with available resources.
- Engaging communicator: Keeps stakeholders informed and invested.
- Fluent in English + French and/or Dutch.
