What is this position about?


The main purpose of this position is to contribute to the Compliance core function by supporting regulatory projects, performing various surveillance activities, following up with the new regulatory changes/ developments, dealing with regulatory inspections/regulatory reporting and liasing with offshore Compliance team on regulatory/ Compliance issues proactively. 


What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like? 


Primary Role Responsibilities


Contribute to the Compliance core function and support Market regulatory projects and requests

  • Implement regulatory controls such as daily unfair Transaction Monitoring and periodic e-comm. surveillance
  • Follow up/analyze the various regulatory developments and provide the regulatory requirements / guidance to internal stakeholders
  • Produce periodic regulatory reports for FSS, KOFIA, and KRX submission
  • Attend calls or meetings with Regional Compliance Domains and cooperate with them on regulatory projects or requests
  • Provide compliance advisory services to Business


Handle internal audit and external regulatory (FSS, KRX, and KOFIA) requests/inspections 

  • Prepare for regulator’s on-site inspection and respond to regulatory requests or inquiries
  • Deal with internal audit-related issues and take a follow-up action on audit result and recommendations


Protection of Interests of Client correspondent

  • Ensure consistent deployment of PIC policies and procedures
  • Provide advice and support to employees on PIC matters
  • Perform, where applicable, PIC trainings (including the adaptation of Group trainings to local
  • activities and norms)
  • Implement PIC controls and produce reports


AML 

  • AML back-up on EDD review during the designated officer’s leave 
  • Perform a reviewer role for STR reporting
  • Prepare and follow up on RBA reporting to the FIU


Other contributions


Conduct and assist with general compliance tasks 


  • Liaise with overseas Compliance teams on regulatory/Compliance issues and for local deployment of new applications and technological enhancements
  • Prepare for various internal reporting materials, presentation materials and training decks


What is required for you to succeed?


Required education/certification/licenses

  • More than 7 years of experiences in Compliance field
  • Teamwork: Work effectively in a team and communicate effectively with team members
  • Adaptability: ability to recognize the need for change and maintain effectiveness in varying environment 
  • Critical thinking/problem solving: Ability to think logically and give opinion based on the sound judgment
  • Communication skills: ability to communicate clearly and effectively with teams and outside clients in written and verbal (both in Korean and English)
