About Business line/Function:

Global Markets

 

The Global Markets business of BNP Paribas helps its corporate and institutional clients leverage capital markets across the globe for their financing, risk management and investment needs. This encompasses a wide range of financial products ranging from Foreign exchange to complex Equity Derivatives that are traded in financial markets across the globe 24/7. IT systems are integral to the business and are a key part of the value proposition to clients. These IT systems range from industry standard products for standard process automation to internally developed, often, market leading IT applications. The IT teams owning these IT systems are made up of functions that include Technical and Application production support, Business Analysis & Project Management, Development & Maintenance and Quality Control. BNP Paribas India Solutions is an equal partner in these IT functions along with colleagues in other locations including Paris, London, New York, Tokyo, Singapore & Hong Kong. This partnership ranges from sharing the IT work load, executing global strategy to owning global applications offshore. The technology and engineering landscape is wide, encompassing almost all techniques and platforms. Regulatory IT

 

Regulatory IT comprises of software systems which manage reporting to Regulators in the Americas, EMEA and APAC regions. These systems

1) Manage the generation of real time reports to Regulators

2) Control and monitor trades, positions and breaks for report accuracy

3) Make Pre trade regulatory checks and alert compliance violations.

Position Purpose

To design, develop and support critical regulatory deliveries.

Responsibilities

 

Direct Responsibilities

 

1.       Study user requirements, develop specifications, design, code program, test and implement systems in line with Group standards and regulatory requirements IN ORDER TO meet user (business) requirements.

2.       Handle development/design projects using Java, J2EE, Oracle, Spring, Hibernate, Web services (REST), DevOps tools (Jenkins), Build Tool (Maven)

3.       Ensure thorough Unit test case coverage (Junit, Mockito)

4.       Perform Estimation and Planning and Proactive Status reporting to the management 

5.       Follow all the best practices and quality processes of the project

6.       Work independently on the task assigned and if possible, also train other team members and Jr. resources on functional and technical topics.

 

Contributing Responsibilities

1.       Perform code and design reviews

2.       Gain functional knowledge on applications worked upon

3.       Evaluation of new tools and coming with POCs.

4.       Come up with technical ideas to improve application performance / save time

 

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

1.       Hands on Development Experience on Core Java 1.6 and above.  

2.       Working experience and understanding of Spring MVC, Spring Boot, REST API, Hibernate.

3.       Hands on Experience on Oracle version 19c and above, with clear understanding of Stored Procedures, Triggers and Indexes

4.       Knowledge of OO Concepts, SOLID principles, design patterns.

5.       UI Exposure (Good to have: Experience in GWT)

6.       SQL and Database knowledge

7.       Good to have hands-on on Python, Shell Scripting

8.       Knowledge in using all DevOps Tools like Jenkins, Artifactory, Bitbucket, Ansible

9.       Good Analytical skills, ability to find solutions to technical problems.

10.   Ability to present multiple solution options, and drive defect free products.

11.   Proven record interpreting and fulfilling requirements by developing high performing, scalable and maintainable solutions with multiple technologies. 

12.   Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, deployment automation, code reviews, and test-driven development.

13.   Strong coordination and organizational skills

14.   Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues in a simple concise manner.

Specific Qualifications (if required)

 

Educational Qualifications: B.E / B. Tech or equivalent.
