Position Purpose 

 Head of IT is responsible for IT systems, IT projects, IT technical supports, IT assets, ICC), BCP, DRP, Local IT Development (Including Basel 2) 

Key Responsibilities

 The Head of IT has a direct reporting line to COO of BNP Paribas Bangkok Branch and a functional reporting Line to Head of APAC C TO, based in Singapore and Hong Kong. 

 IT Systems 

 Deploy in coordination with the regional teams standard CIB (or Group) Infrastructure and systems 

 Coordinate and work with regional teams or other BNPP IT Teams on projects as well as recurrent tasks 

 Consult with management to analyze computer system needs for management Information and functional operations 

Recommend improvements in technology (hardware and software upgrades) In line with the Groups Norms and Standards ie. Make presentation of regional IT recommendations to COO before any Incorporation in Forecast or Budget

Manage the development, implementation, Installation, and operation of site-specific information and functional systems, in line with the Group's Norms and Standards.

 Support to end users in the selection, procurement, usage, and maintenance of software programs and hardware. 

 Develop, Implement, and monitor management information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance. 

 Deploy all relevant IT Security related components e.g. Security patches for Workstation and Servers as well as Anti-Virus signatures. 

 Find, compare (as per the procurement guideline Locally and/or regionalty) select, negotiate and contract with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for services and products 

 Develop, maintain and test the disaster recovery plan 

 Oversee the organisation's IT network system (network, servers (Windows Servers and SCCM for NFOS Server), Telephony & Etrall and voice recording system, application, software and hardware, etc) both at 

production site & BCP site. Oversee and manage Telecommunication for Cisco IP Phone and Voice Logger

 Manage user services such as Help Desk and training. 

 Manage Hardware & Software purchasing in coordination with the regional teams and the COD as well as responsible for IT assets. 

 Train, and supervise Information Systems staff 

 Prepare IT budget 

 Evaluate use of technology In the organization 

 Stay abreast of advances in technology.  

 Schedule, control and supervise resources, people, funding and facilities for IT projects 

 Programming and Development 

 Local Basel 2 IT Development 

 Prioritize and assigned development request to the appropriate developer 

 Integrates IT continuity in deployment of B.I.S. projects 

 Proposes solutions to meet IT continulty needs, supported by Production 

 Ensures proper Implementation of IT continulty solutions over project life cycle 

 Produces IT continuity plans where applicable 

 Distributes the IT assets in production and related continuity Information (AIA, statement of requirements etc) 

 Provides to the ICO concerned IT continulty risks for IT assets in production 

 Collaborates in the planning and completion of regular IT continuity exercises 

 Identifies key actors for IT crisis management 

 IT Continuity 

 Manages and organizes IT Continuity Steering Committee 

 Ensures compliance with Group and APAC regulators IT continuity requirements 

 Gather IT continuity needs with Business Continuity Officer (BCO) 

 Consolidates and maintains the list of critical IT assets, jointly with BCO and respective IT asset owner 

 Deploys and maintains appropriate IT continuity framework for existing IT assets and IT projects 

 Raises awareness and organizes IT continuity training 

 Organizes and monitors regular exercise plans 

 Prepares IT continuity reporting Including results from exercises and controls 

 Provides the IT continuity risks for production IT assets 

 Plans and conducts regular IT continuity exercises 

 Manages IT continuity Incidents by following escalation and crisis management procedures 

 Proposes technical solutions and hosting solutions that meet various levels of IT continuity 

 Maintains technical mapping and physical location of hardware 

 Formalizes the failover procedures associated with the IT continulty systems stated in the continuity plans 

 IT Security 

 Ensures Compliance to BNP Paribas Security Policies and Standard 

 Interfacing with regional security team to align with regional security practice and acting as local focal point for security incident 

 Implement and maintain ISO27001 certification 

 Permanent control 

 Direct contribution to BNP Paribas Operational Permanent Control Framework 

 Ensure that the team complies with the Operational Permanent Control, legal and regulatory framework and requirement. 

 Monitor attendance and ensure guidelines are followed (Compliance Leaves, Compliance Training) 

 Other 

 Assist COO on adhoc basis as required 

 Ensure right balancing of workload across IT Officers and portfolios 

 Manage and provide back up on tasks performed by IT Officers when necessary 

 Provide a clear IDs and conduct annual performance reviews of team members 

Work closely with other Head of Departments to identify/suggest performance Improvement to achieve

 team and department goals 

 Ensure smooth cooperation with Regional IT Teams  

 Provide Back up as BCP Manager 

 Competencies (Technical / Behavioral) 

 1. Significant experience in Computer field and IT management preferably in banking operation 

 2. Strong knowledge in computer, network, server software & application software 

 3. Understanding of Information Security and good governance practice 

 4. Understanding of IS027001:2013 Information Security 

 5. Banking Knowledge. 

 6. Recognized leadership. 

 7. Fluent English & Thal both written and spoken 

 8. Good ability in negotiation (with people, suppliers, and vendors etc) 

 9. Quick learner

 Specific Qualifications Required 

 MBA/ Graduate in Computer Science 

 At least 12-15 years of relevant experience
