Position Purpose / 職務の目的

Financial OPC is responsible for operational permanent control for financial area.

He/She manages Cardif Japan’s financial controls based on BNP Paribas group methodologies.  He/She is SPOC (Single point of contact) of Cardif Japan’s FOPC and responsible for developing proper/efficient controls and make/keep clear documentation to prove proper quality of financial control.

Also, as an independent designated person, He/She watches proper Segregation of duty is organized in treasury and accounting area. In addition, He/She support any technical matter proactively.

 

Responsibilities / 職務の責任

Responsible of following role with small support from M1

 

Direct Responsibilities

Financial OPC (1FLOD)

Segregation of duty

  1. SoD check (Treasury and Accounting area – Cash fraud preventive control)

Accounting GKSP1 – accounting figure justification

  1. Ledger account open/close activity watch in accounting system.
  2. Quarterly accounting figure justification of JGAAP and IFRS
  3. Dormant account control
  4. GKSP reporting 
  5. Development if any

Accounting GKSP2 – Sensitive account control

  1. Sensitive account inventory check (Local KSP, linked with GKSP1)
  2. Transit account aging control check (Provided by Accounting production team)
  3. GKSP reporting
  4. Development if any

Accounting GKSP3 Bank reconciliation

  1. Bank reconciliation (Daily movement and End balance reconciliation)
  2. Bank account open close activity control check (Linked with GKSP1)
  3. GKSP reporting
  4. Development if any

Accounting GKSP4 Manual entries.

  1. Monthly review of handmade cash voucher.
  2. Entry log review of journal vouchers (linked with SoD)
  3. GKSP reporting
  4. Development if any

FACTs (Financial accounting control tool)

  1. Manage sub-certification process both closing and performance management process.
  2. Entry FACT based on sub-certification and validated by CRFO.

IACP (Internal accounting control and planning)

  1. Manage whole process to gathering answer from heads of relevant department.
  2. SPOC of check and challenge from 2FLOD.

RCSA exercise

  1. Manage whole process to gathering answer from heads of relevant department.
  2. SPOC of check and challenge from 2FLOD.

Active support 2FLoD matter

  1. Practical support for 2FLoD check and challenges if there are needs from 2FLOD.

 

Tax GCL exercise

TBD – will be decided based on situation help or in charge.

Investment and Management accounting GKSP

TBD – will be decided based on situation help or in charge.

Accounting control meeting related

TBD – will be decided.

 

Contributing Responsibilities

  1. To participate and contribute to the special projects or strategic initiatives of the company-financial DX etc.
  2. To participate procedure / manual documentation in accounting production area. 

(Not FLOD area)

 

Business Knowledge / 求められるビジネス知識

  1. Fundamental insurance business knowledge in Japan
  2. Audit experience and knowledge to control FLOD.
  3. Insurance Accounting under Japan and International standards (JGAAP & IFRS)
  4. Transversal expertise across various insurance business lines is a plus (such as Accounting and audit)

Education Level: 教育レベル

  1. At least hold one certification for Accounting or Finance area in below

Junior CPA, Junior USCPA, CMA, CFA or equivalent
