Job Title: Associate, Advisory Latam

Location: 787 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY 10019

 

Duties: Origination and execution of high-profile mergers and acquisitions transactions across Latin America. Design and preparation, effectively leading a team including analysts, marketing materials, investor presentations and valuation decks. Integrally manage the execution of M&A processes, from process designs, marketing materials, investor contacts, client management, due diligence (leading Q&A, expert sessions and management presentation), negotiations, signing and closing. Build fully flexible, advanced and comprehensive financial models, with built-in scenarios, sensitivities, valuation analysis, LBO and merger models. Support the identification of cross-border opportunities (i.e., referrals, origination and execution opportunities) across the Americas, Europe and Asia. Prepare and deliver strategic presentations to senior executives both internally and to clients (board members, C-suite, fund partners) Ability to master advanced understanding of the energy & infrastructure sector dynamics and trends in Latin America and leverage sector expertise to derive strategic analysis and investment recommendations for clients. Training, mentoring and supervising a team of junior team members (full-time analysts, summer interns). Client-focused, deal-driven, credible, and a highly energetic professional. *Telecommuting permitted 20%: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the BNP Paribas Securities Corp. office in New York, NY. 10% Domestic and international travel required to Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay.

 

SALARY:   $176,571-$225,000/ year

Work Schedule: 9am to 5pm, 40 hours a week. (Monday – Friday)

 

Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or Foreign Equivalent) in Finance, Business Administration, or related field and four (4) years of experience in Mergers & Acquisitions. Must have four (4) years of experience supporting origination and leading successfully the execution of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) transactions. Must have three (3) years of experience with the following: advanced knowledge of the energy & infrastructure M&A sector dynamics and regulation in Latin America; M&A deal making experience demonstrated by the successful close of at least 5 M&A transactions across at least 3 different sub-segments of the Latam energy & infrastructure sectors; and strong financial modelling capabilities and advanced knowledge of corporate finance theory. Must have two (2) years of experience with the following: delivering presentations to senior executives (board members, C-suite, fund partners); and training and mentoring a team of at least 4 junior professionals. Must have full proficiency in Spanish.
