Description

The role

The L&D and Early Talent Business Partner will provide invaluable support to the head of Learning & Development to lead the early talent strategy and drive key L&D initiatives. They will work closely with senior managers and the UK HR team, to manage the graduate and apprenticeship programmes.


Key Responsibilities 

Early Talent

    Be a partner to the business lines by providing strategic advice on early talent engagement and development and hold an understanding of their requirements

    Design an Early Talent engagement and development strategy based on the needs of the business 

    Develop and implement the Early Talent training programme aligning it to the strategic objectives

    Manage the Induction for all Early Talent new joiners

    Conduct regular coaching and feedback meetings with graduates/apprentices to provide the support required and be their key point of contact 

    Manage the Early Talent budget, expenses and invoice procedures

    Manage processes and trackers related to Early Talent study agreement and qualifications to create efficiencies and improved ways of working

    Liaise with training suppliers and universities for regular updates on graduates/apprentices and provide continuous feedback to improve the offerings

    Support with training schedules, setting up mock interviews etc. for the Spring and Autumn sitters 

    Key contact with professional bodies (RICS, RTPI) sharing relevant information with Early Talent population as required 

    Responsible for enrolment to relevant professional bodies (RICS, RTPI)

    Apprenticeship levy and training provider identification and onboarding

    Manage the Early Talent website 

    Design plans and manage internships, rotational programmes and apprenticeships with partner organisations for Early Talent such as SEO London, 10,000 Black Interns and continue to identify relevant partner organisations as required 

    Responsible for internal stakeholders moving onto the qualification process (AssocRICS, Professional Route)

    Manage the counsellor and supervisor population of Early talent from identification to training support required 

    HR Representative for the internal Early Careers Forum, to action any outcomes as required. 

    Design and manage post-qualification developmental support

    Management of qualification letters and internal promotion of recent qualifiers. 

    Company representative for various inter-industry groups, forums, and initiatives. 

    Support the attraction strategies for all Early Talent Recruitment including Graduates, Placements, and Interns across the business as and when required 


Learning & Development 

    Lead the organisation-wide induction programme and the related induction processes for new joiners 

    Manage the business line specific induction programmes  

    Work with the Head of L&D to identify learning needs for teams across the business 

    Drive and manage the mentoring programme ensuring engagement throughout the year

    Promote a learning culture by encouraging personal development plans for employees

Qualifications

    Educated to degree level or equivalent  

    CIPD qualification highly desired


Experience

    Provides expert advice and solutions to internal clients which are aligned to the strategic objectives and business needs

    Demonstrable record of implementing an Early Talent strategy, in line with business requirements

    Professional services industry and/or multi-site background, an advantage

    Demonstrable record of building credible relationships at all levels

    Can deal with novel or difficult situations within context of own function or specialism

    Experience of graduate and apprenticeship programmes  

    Excellent presentation ability 

    PC literate, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and HR databases

    Active team player 

    Shares expertise with colleagues

    Proactively communicates to colleagues and others

    Passionate about the Early Talent space
