THE ROLE

You will be part of the global markets IRFX sales team covering Dutch Corporate clients. The team transacts vanilla FX and Interest rate derivatives as well as structured fixed income solutions. You will be working in fast-paced macroeconomic driven environment, working closely with traders, researchers, structurers and other sales colleagues across Europe to provide clients with bespoke service and products to meet their risk management objectives. 

The team consist of 5 people and knows a lively and fun team spirit, where on-the-job coaching, 360 feedback and team selling are routine practices to create an open and collaborate spirit. You report into the head of IRFX corporate sales Netherlands who supports you to be the best you can be with a healthy work-life balance and room to grow personally and professionally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Sales position focused on selling FX and Interest rate products for corporate clients 

- You will actively manage your own portfolio of clients

- Selling the banks global platform across products

- Develop and maintain relationships with clients

- Develop significant understanding of client’s organization, business and operating model

- Proactively look for market driven opportunities

- Develop a strong relationship with the relationship management team

- Ensure BNPP is the first-choice bank for IRFX risk management flow and solutions 

- Uphold the highest standards of conduct to protect the bank.

 

SKILLS YOU WILL (FURTHER) DEVELOP IN THIS ROLE:

  • Franchise marketing: Support the coverage of corporate clients at Dealer / Senior Dealer level for execution needs in order to promote BNPP Global Market’s capabilities and services;
  • Market intelligence: Provide market intelligence, strategist/economist content and trade ideas relevant for the client;
  • Origination: Identify risk management opportunities externally with clients and internally by leveraging relationships with local Relationship Managers;
  • New client development: Prospect accounts and develop new relationships with Coverage;
  • Execution: Deliver cross-asset execution excellence and maintain high standards of client service;
  • Collaboration: Work in tandem with the Corporate IRFX Solutions colleagues and liaise with other relevant stakeholders (e.g. Structuring, Coverage);
  • Risk awareness: Exhibit and foster a responsible attitude towards risk (market, counterparty, operational, legal, compliance, regulatory, reputation) and relationships with functions;

 

WHAT IT TAKES

  • Intermediate experience in selling to corporate clients, preferably in FX/IRD 
  • Proven track record of supporting senior colleagues and contributing to a team’s overall objectives
  • University degree preferably in Finance or Engineering 
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • A genuine, motivated, fun and eager new team member
