Role
The Risk Management Middle Office Team Core Missions are:
- Risk Management Middle Office team is the core quality monitoring and ex-post control team for Middle Office organization. Their control mandate includes financial security controls (non clients (KYX), Hermes etc..,) controls aligned to group policies and dedicated controls specific to Pricing and Revenue analytics.
- The team also champions industrialization, looking to automate controls and the streamlining of reporting and governance of all control frameworks, taking charge of the GBMO control Committee.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform the Financial Security controls at facility set-up, facility renewal and on a regular basis during the deal life to monitor and ensure that programmes are always compliant with FS (KYX, Hermes ++, Obligor Screening). Tasks include the following but are not limited to:
- Ensure the correct Due Diligence is performed as required according to the KYX policy.
- Ensure recertification is performed at renewal date
- To Align with the group guidelines once GTS instruction is received.
- Ensure the Storage of all the relevant documents and evidence in an appropriate location.
- Ensure all the controls are completed periodically.
- To ensure timely escalation to MO Management and FO as required
- Keep the registers and trackers up to date for all the FS activities with deals subjected to the recertification frequency, follow up commentary and TSAM framework scoring.
- Perform HIT management review on all screening results for MO teams and ensure compliance with screening relationship procedure.
- Perform PN country checks for all Middle Office Teams and liaise with Business for on any escalation concerns.
- Perform ex-post controls for Middle Office for all indirect programs handled in Third Party Platforms
- To periodically reconcile the pricing register vs static & business data in SCF platforms, to ensure pricing design is compatible with clearly identifiable reconciliation outputs (maintenance & upgrade of macro).
- Automation design of the manual pricing reconciliation tool, implementing initiatives to improve and advance the pricing reconciliation methodology.
- Engaging with Registration team to understand pricing categories and implementing frequent checks to ensure correctness in platform.
- Understand the pricing design end to end and implement training or proposals to FO on the simplification of pricing offer or reviewing pricing per client requirement.
- Collaborating closely with global product manager to implement AI initiatives in pricing reconciliation and inputs i.e.
- Perform monthly Revenue analytic task to ensure the correctness of the PNL for business lines and proposing solutions to finance to ensure correctness of reporting
- Attendance to calls with internal stakeholders; FO, Finance, Compliance to ensure all queries and escalations resolved in a timely manner.
- Assist with the preparation of daily, monthly quarterly and ad hoc reports for Middle Office, Business Lines, KPIs etc.,
- Communication and maintain a good audit trail on the requests handled.
- Attention to details and extra vigilance on the validation of all controls performed
- Procedure/User guide maintenance: Update, validate new changes as appropriate.
- Coordinate, Participate and Contribute to BNPP tools release management activities (BR/spec validation, UAT sign-off) specifically for any pricing related enhancements.
- Collaborate with product team to work on automation of controls.
- Ensure that SCM controls are performed correctly, and details provided as required, and appropriately.
- Be a contributor to GBMO controls committee and assist with reporting metrics as required.
- Ensure that the escalation policy and reporting is followed as required.
Qualifications & Experience required for this role
Business/Finance 3rd level qualification
1 to 3 years’ experience in banking operations
Proficiency with general IT system applications
Financial Security Due Diligence experience
Knowledge of Trade Finance products an advantage
Proficient knowledge of MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI)
Some knowledge of SQL an advantage but not essential
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Clear and Concise communication skills
