About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Arval UK, Swindon as a Pricing Analyst. Using your quantitative analysis experience you’ll be analysing how profitable each lease will be, ensuring Arval gets the best return, and the customer gets the best deal.
In this role you will work closely with business & sales managers to support commercial opportunities across the business, providing key analysis and profitability modelling.
You will be the first port of call for any pricing queries, responsible for the managing of a team inbox and prioritising your own workload effectively.
You’ll be expected to engage with internal stakeholders in order to encourage accurate data collation. Data will be presented and manipulated using Excel, SAS and SQL as well as our internal system DRIVE.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Liaise with Sales and other key business areas to model and analyse commercial opportunities
- Checking that all proposals are compliant with the Arval UK Pricing Policy and highlighting exceptions
- Support the Commercial Pricing Manager in ensuring that modelling tools can be used to accurately reflect profitability of commercial opportunities
- Carry out periodic reviews to ensure policies are being correctly implemented and identify significant issues
- Collate and update data used in the assumptions built into the Pricing models
- Carry out ad hoc analysis, as required, and present findings
What we’re looking for
You will be someone who is numerically literate and well organised, but more importantly someone keen to learn. You will be very efficient with processing data at high volumes. You’ll be super organised, able to plan and juggle multiple activities with ease, and the fast pace of the role will not phase you!
We are after someone who takes real pride in their work to ensure that the customer receives the best service possible and that improvements are flagged, acknowledged and actioned as we look to grow the business.
You will be joining a supportive and collaborative team, so you will be someone who is prepared to help out, with the good of the team always in the forefront of your mind.
Not shy to share your thoughts in a constructive fashion, you will be comfortable in a corporate environment and will understand the complexities of working for a matrix style organisation. You will welcome ownership and accountability, be creative and solution focussed. You’ll also be able to demonstrate:
- Advanced excel skills
- Experience of quantitative analysis
- Strong communication skills
- Expert planning, prioritisation and organisational skills
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
The package
We offer a basic starting salary of up to £33,500, plus a bonus of up to £1,900. We also offer 25 days holiday as standard, plus bank holidays, an extra day off for your birthday, and the option to purchase an additional 5 days.
