Do you want to become our Product Owner?
We, the IT Continuity Squad, are a team of 15 people and we are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Product Owner that can help us achieve our goals, maintain our fantastic team spirit and assist us hands-on on various topics.
Our Squad goal? Assure the continuity of IT services for our business and customers. We support the Tribes to make sure that their applications and systems are business resilient and prepared to recover in the case of disaster. And if a disaster occurs, we must be able to come back to normal in a quick, secure and reliable manner.
To ensure IT Continuity maturity and compliance, we plan, organize, document and report on Disaster Recovery exercises, and we make sure to report a correct status of our readiness to our management, the Group and regulatory instances.

As Product Owner of the IT Continuity Squad, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Maintain and improve our current maturity level in collaboration with loads of stakeholders in IT (Application Owners, Architects, APS, BP²I, ITG, …);
- Make sure that the Fortis IT Continuity Processes and Procedures are in line with the Group policies and procedures and with regulatory requirements;
- Report to management and stakeholders in Delivery Boards, Product Boards and ad hoc meetings;
- Align with all IT Tribes and with Business Continuity Management on the long term planning and improvements;
- Work together with the Squad Scrum Master to make sure the team has a reasonable workload, enough challenges and the right priorities;
- Support the Squad when we have a question, a challenge, a planning issue, a priority clash and so much more;
- Be enthusiastic and have a can-do attitude.
YOUR TALENTS AND COMPETENCES
- A bachelor's or master's degree (or equivalent experience) and a proven ability to quickly absorb new information
- Proven experience as a Product Owner, with a good IT knowledge;
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work on multiple topics simultaneously;
- Strong facilitation and collaboration skills, with the ability to set clear agreements and ensure timely follow-up;
- A drive for continuous improvement and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances;
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
- A customer-obsessed mindset;
- You can express yourself fluently in English, both orally and in writing;
- A good knowledge of French is an asset given the multiple contacts with Group stakeholders in France. Dutch would be appreciated;
- As a Product Owner, a good knowledge of Rally and ServiceNow is advisable.
