Role Purpose
Business Management Officer of Global Banking APAC’s core responsibilities is to perform the financial performance monitoring of Global Banking APAC, ensure the implementation of a robust and coherent governance across Global Banking APAC, and ensure smooth communication and partnerships with all relevant stakeholders. Business Management Officer Global Banking APAC shall work in close collaboration with Global Banking APAC Exco, Global Banking APAC teams, Global Banking worldwide stakeholders and relevant Functions stakeholders in APAC and for Global Banking worldwide, and in full alignment with Global Banking worldwide organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the performance reporting and monitoring of Global Banking APAC, in collaboration with Finance and the Global Banking businesses, including the monitoring of costs, headcount and financial resources, with a view of boosting operational efficiency, profitability and returns of the platform.
- Actively contribute to the financial performance monitoring including revenues, direct & indirect costs, headcounts, cost of risks, RWA etc
- Actively contribute to the budget exercise for Global Banking APAC, and assist the business heads to formulate their budget
- Assist Heads and Business Heads in formulating their strategy and defining the right options to increase their operational efficiency and profitability, with a view to ensure full alignment and consistency with the strategic and industrialization plans of Global Banking APAC, in coordination with the GB APAC Strategy and Industrialization team
- Maintain a strong expertise on CCG & GCM APAC scope including Coverages to help the Business Heads in analyzing their businesses performance
- Guarantee the implementation of a robust, coherent governance across Global Banking APAC
- Lead or contribute to the preparation, planning, coordination, contribution, minutes deliverable of relevant committees of Global Banking APAC or CCG GCM APAC (such as Management Committee, Mandate Committees, Legal Entity committees)
- Lead or contribute to the update of existing procedures and development of new procedures and policies as and when relevant, and to ensure alignment across Global Banking and in collaboration with GB APAC CCCO team where relevant
- Lead or contribute to the document collection and follow-up on internal and external audits in collaboration with GB APAC CCCO team and other relevant teams
- Act as platform enabler
- Support on complex ad hoc requests raised to Business Management team, in order to identify the challenges and stakeholders needed to solve them and work to address them
- Contribute to transformation and development projects for Business Management scope, by gathering information, analyzing, formulating options and building a business case. Assist in the implementation in liaison with internal or external parties.
- Lead / Contribute to transversal projects such as business initiatives, training roll outs, new regulations implementation, TPA/SLA frameworks etc
- Contribute to the distribution of Deal Flashes and Wins of the Week / Remarkable deals submission to raise awareness with key stakeholders across business lines and regions, in collaboration with Brands & Communication where relevant
- Lead / Contribute to the organization of internal events such as Townhalls, Management offsite, CSR and festive celebrations, in collaboration with B&C or CSR teams as relevant
- Lead / Contribute to HR-related initiatives such as internship / training programs for CCG GCM APAC, in collaboration with HR / Learning & Development
