Job Title: Senior Business Analyst

Securities services department of CIB
Position Purpose:
The role will report to the Business Analysis Lead and will be primarily responsible for
- Learn the existing application and business functionality
- Understand the business need and to convert that into Epics and User stories
- Propose IT solution for the projects in Custody perimeter
- To work closely with Dev and products owners to drive the delivery in agile mode
- Handle the functional testing and delivery of the new features
The position requires working in a virtual team and international environment and is multidisciplinary in nature. It involves coordination with other locations and divisions of BNP Paribas as necessary. It is important that the candidate should have strong financial products knowledge along with high analytical skills and attention to details.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
• Able to read and interpret BRDs, Technical specs to perform functional testing of Tax perimeter.
• Read various regulatory reports / forms and able to summarize understanding for each line item in summary format for IT team to develop
• Challenge status quo and propose process enhancement ideas
• Able to review deliverables of created by IT department. Communicate changes to IT team for Tax perimeter and test the releases
• Able to extract required information from a collection of available documentation and specifications of tax authorities
• Able to summarize critical issues in commentary format along with charts, bar or pie diagrams and able to generate status report for senior and executive management group
• Create SOPs, perform knowledge transfer and cross training for proper backup in team.
• Effective communication across multiple teams including development team (IT) and other stakeholders. Ability to translate business requirements and work with development teams throughout resolution, implementation and delivery.
Contributing Responsibilities
• Write functional specifications, tech solution documents, flow charts, root cause analysis and other diagnostic documentations.
• Have a good understanding of the data flows and understand its lifecycle of source to destination
• Identify risk in process and propose / implement controls
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
• Able to work with large data in excel and suggest process enhancement ideas
• Knowledge of advanced formulas & pivot tables in excel is must
• Good working knowledge of tools such as Collibra, Ab-Initio, Informatica Metadata Manager
• SharePoint, MS Word, MS Visio, PowerPoint
Specific Qualifications:
• Minimum 10 years of experience along with Bachelor's Degree - in management, finance, science, economics, related field or equivalent experience
• Prior experience in similar domain
