Department: Finance Shared Services

About Business line/Function: 13100001 - CIB - POLE CORPORATE AND INSTITUTIONAL BANKING

Position Purpose: 

Ensure Financial/Capital Reporting to Head Office

Oversight of Credit risk & Liquidity risk reporting

Contribute to the documentation and automation of the process

Leading a team of 8-10 members

Direct Responsibilities

Oversee - Preparation of the credit & liquidity reporting sent monthly to the Head Office.

Manage Prepare ad hoc Financial Reporting for Head office upon request

Contribute to accounting controls and analysis as defined by the BNP Paribas Standard Accounting Control Plan.

Own the end‑to‑end production of monthly, quarterly, and ad‑hoc credit risk reports

Oversee accuracy, timeliness and completeness of risk data in accordance with Basel/ other regulatory requirements.

Manage liquidity reporting processes, including (LCR), Net stable funding ratio (NSFR) and other liquidity metrics

Ensure reporting complies with regulatory standards (Basel III, local regulators, internal liquidity policies)

Ensure the good coordination with the Regional Financial Reporting team, in particular during the pre-closing process and whenever an accounting issue needs to be addressed

Contributing Responsibilities

Participate to Finance Projects linked to Head Office Financial/Capital Reporting 

Contribute to BNP Paribas operational permanent control framework.

Monitor Financial Reporting through key performance and key risk indicators. In particular contribute to the elimination of manual reclassifications and warnings/missing items.

On a timely basis, provide complete and accurate financial data to the Reporting Team for report production. 

Provide analysis and response to questions raised by HO Finance / Regional Finance / Internal Management.

Support VP to lead, manage and develop the department to ensure it achieves the highest possible standards of excellence in all its activities.

Support VP -To oversee the smooth functioning of the department and ensuring consistent provision · To manage and motivate all departmental staff.

Execute the BCM responsibilities for respective team/business: 

·       Responsible for overall BCM Programme of your Department to ensure their business continues when BCP is invoked. (BCM strategy, solution, documentation, Testing etc.)

·       Ensure Business Continuity requirement is integrated with all relevant processes, as applicable

·       Can delegate the same to their nominated department BC Correspondent

·       Approve and sign-off business impact analyses, business continuity requirements, strategies and solutions for their department. 

·       Mobilize their teams to actively participate in awareness sessions, training and tests.

·       Nominate BC correspondents within their scope to act a primary point of contact for the BC Manager.

Define and implement proper permanent controls on BCP activities on their scope.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Provides inputs for conducing performance appraisals and has developed a second line management that is capable of autonomous BAU operation.

Specific Qualifications:

Chartered Accountant, CPA or equivalent with 8 to 12 years of relevant experience preferably in Banking environment.

Skills Referential (Required knowledge, skills and abilities)

Technical Skills:

o   Knowledge of accounting under GAAP and IFRS

  • Knowledge of Basel Norms, LCR/NSFR, and other relevant regulations  
  • Advanced MS office skills (excel/word/ppt etc.)
  • Leading projects in Finance, ability to manage metrics, risks and issues with good project planning and estimation skills.
  • Ability to build a culture where employees feel engaged with their work and want to learn and grow and is able to facilitate change and assess the impact.
  • Should display consistent high quality performance that is recognized internally with solid knowledge of services within the business line.
