Description

Arval Arval Competence Center Warsaw is the latest initiative of the BNP Paribas group, which aims to develop competences and business services. Currently, ACCW employes over 100 people who, every day, in various languages, help Arval Group entities to efficiently serve Clients and Partners. In ACCW, solutions are being created that aim to streamline the customer and supplier verification processes. The center specializes, among others, in credit analyses and KYC analyses, and performs tasks in the field of HR data administration and internal control. Arval Competence Centre Warsaw (“ACCW”) supports onboarding activities of several entities of Arval in the process of selecting and managing the risk of the prospects and existing Clients and Suppliers.

 

 

In connection with the development of Arval Competence Center Warsaw, we are looking for candidates for the following position:

 

 

Sustainability Manager

 

 

Sustainability Manager is serving the countries that do not have at least one full-time employee allocated to sustainability. She/ He provides expert advice for the local deployment of Arval Group sustainability strategy in the countries, support in setting country targets & priorities, structuring and leading the governance, tracking and reporting performance. She/ He is in charge of fostering related initiatives and integration of sustainability in the local business.

She/ He must ensure that the rules defined both at BNP Paribas Group and Arval Corporate are adequately implemented.



 

Your responsibilities:

 

  • Accompanies countries’ general management in setting priorities & target KPIs in line with Arval Group
  • Deploys & monitors the local sustainability governance: secure countries’ awareness, ensures correct implementation of Arval group procedures & guidelines, monitors & reports on KPIs performance, animates sustainability within the countries’ sustainability champions and in countries executive committees
  • Is the local point of contact for the Arval Corporate Sustainability Office, including ESG reports to Arval Group and participation in the community meetings
  • Monitors & reports semestrial to Corporate Sustainability Office and the regional executive committees the local CSR activity and achievements
  • Participates in local Business processes & Committees addressing sustainability topics 
  • Collaborates with Territory BNPP CSR / Company Engagement (if any), providing information on Arval performance/ governance et contributing to collective Group initiatives & projects
  • Coordinates the deployment of Arval corporate sustainability initiatives, new policies / procedures and monitor / report progress
  • Ensures best practices sharing and supports local sustainability certification schemes (eg ISO 14001, Ecovadis) with expert advice towards the contributing business functions 
  • Contributes to the 1st Line of Defense against ESG Risks led by Business teams, by expressing the CSR opinion as per the Group & Arval sectorial and ESG Assessment policies
  • Executes the ESG control plan and follow-up relevant actions
  • Contributes to the Arval Group voluntary sustainability report, and checks compliance of local CSR reports with corporate guidelines
  • Ensures proper and on time training of employees involved in the implementation of ESG processes
  • Encourages local upskilling and culture development through awareness initiatives and training plans of the various functions
  • Supports other functions to reach the local targets and secure sustainability is integrated consistently in their initiatives & decisions

 

Our requirements:

 

  • Educational background: Master’s degree, preferred within Environmental Protection, ESG and CSR, Economy or a related field
  • Experience: 
  1. at least 3 years of experience in a similar position
  2. at least 4 years of experience in project management or transversal management
  3. previous managerial experience within Shared Service Center environment and / or BNPP / Arval is highly desirable.
  4. proven practical experience in sustainability scorecards and extra-financial reporting (sustainability reporting, EcoVadis, Carbon Disclosure Project, Science Based Targets Initiative)
  5. past practical experience of ISO standards among management, environment, energy, sustainability would be an additional asset
  • Language skills: fluency in spoken and written English
  • Regulatory and compliance literacy: ability to work with and implement relevant regulatory requirements and best practices
  • Project management proficiency: demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and monitor multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Commitment to continuous improvement: proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvements, automation and streamlining onboarding processes. Strong commitment to staying updated on industry trends and best practices
  • Cross-functional collaboration: ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional team to achieve organizational goals
  • Global perspective: experience working in an international environment, with a focus on monitoring and improving the efficiency and quality of services across various divisions
  • Communication skills: exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively. Strong influencing and negotiation skills to engage with Corporate departments, internal stakeholders, and senior management
  • Relationship building: proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Corporate teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners   
  • Interpersonal skills: strong interpersonal skills to navigate diverse business relationships and resolve conflicts
  • Strategic mindset: ability to provide strategic leadership, set direction, and drive organizational change within the Corporate Clients’ onboarding process. Visionary thinking to anticipate and address future challenges and opportunities
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills: strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate Client information, assess risks, and make data-driven decisions
  • Data proficiency: proficiency in using data analysis tools and techniques to extract and interpret meaningful insights.
