2026 APAC Long Internship (Jun-Dec) – Global Markets, Credit- Loan Syndicate- Singapore

Who can apply?

To be considered for the placement, you will:

  • Apply as a penultimate or final year undergraduate in any discipline; 
  • On track for a GPA of 3.3 out of 4.0 or above (or equivalent) in any discipline; 
  • Have to be fluent in spoken and written English (additional languages are an advantage); and 
  • Demonstrate an inquisitive mind-set, with analytical skills, mathematical aptitude, and a keen interest in latest finance topics as well as market trends.

Position Purpose

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern to join our Loan Syndicate APAC team, with BNPP Global Markets APAC. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in debt capital markets, leveraged finance and private credit. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the loan underwriting process, work with multiple internal teams and contribute to “originate and distribute” projects.

Loan Syndicate APAC is responsible for underwriting loans (corporate, leveraged, private credit, real assets) originated by BNPP capital markets teams. Loan Syndicate manages all aspects of underwriting risk, from structuring to distribution through the Bank’s sales teams.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and analysis to support the underwriting process
  • Assist in maintaining underwriting and pipeline reports, budget and regular forecasting exercises
  • Assist in the preparation of Syndicate underwriting memos 
  • Assist in the preparation and review of loan syndication documents, including term sheets, information memoranda and other marketing materials
  • Assist in fair valuation (mark-to-market, modelling, regular valuation analysis)

Technical and Behavioral Competencies required

  • Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Financial modelling, data analytics, due diligence, preparation of syndicate memos 
  • Highly motivated individual, able to work autonomously and be part of a team environment
  • Familiarity with loan syndication processes and financial markets is a plus.
