The position at a glance
This role supports the Global Trade Solutions, Cash Management, and Liquidity Investment Advisory strategy by proactively identifying client needs and closing opportunities within the Transaction Banking business line. The position aims to drive growth for Multinational and Large Canadian Corporates by delivering targeted financial solutions in concert with Coverage Relationship Managers. Through strategic product leadership, the role ensures the bank maintains a competitive and robust presence in the Canadian marketplace.
In detail
- Identify client needs by conducting calling programs and client reviews to expand the Transaction Banking portfolio.
- Structure complex GTS, CM, and Liquidity transactions using technical expertise to mitigate credit and transaction risks.
- Collaborate with Coverage Relationship Managers and Structuring teams to negotiate profitable terms and develop comprehensive credit proposals.
- Coordinate with Middle and Back Office teams to manage the onboarding and implementation processes to ensure high client satisfaction.
- Develop client pitch materials and proposals to drive volume and stability within the Time Deposit base.
- Research market intelligence and competitive pricing to propose new liquidity pools and domestic platform developments.
- Implement legal documentation and bank decisions by working closely with legal counsel to finalize transaction agreements.
- Maintain a timely deal pipeline and provide periodic activity reviews to inform the Business Line of transaction flows.
- Contribute to the operational permanent control framework to ensure all activities align with risk and profitability standards.

- MBA or equivalent in business or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience if holding a BBA or B Comm; alternatively, an MBA is required.
- The knowledge of English and French languages is required.*
- Possessing fluency in any of the languages spoken within the identified geographic corridors, such as Japanese, Korean, or Mandarin would be considered an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of client-facing banking experience in structured trade, supply chain finance, cash management, or corporate treasury.
- Reasoned problem solving when translating complex requirements into financial structures.
- Collaborative communication when working with internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Responsible execution of transaction structuring across multiple geographies and legal jurisdictions.
- Committed approach to delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines and under pressure.
- Trustworthy management of client relationships through professional interface and service.
- Supportive teamwork when participating in business development strategies and client account planning.
*Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Professional working proficiency in French and English languages are required.
