For our office in Budapest, we are looking for you to join us as
Transaction Banking Officer
Treasury Back Office & Loan Servicing
In full-time, 2 years fixed-term contract
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the HUF (forint) position for the ALM‑Treasury team;
- Reconcile HUF transactions on the account held with the National Bank of Hungary;
- Process HUF VIBER payments;
- Book transactions executed on the bank’s LORO accounts;
- Create and manage the bank’s foreign‑exchange conversion positions;
- Reconcile foreign currency transactions with the account‑holding bank’s statements;
- Handle and coordinate the bookkeeping of bank-to-bank transactions entered into by ALM‑Treasury;
- Manage and reconcile bank-to-bank or National Bank‑related transactions;
- Manage collateral on the HUF account held at the National Bank;
- Prepare and submit mandatory reports to the National Bank;
- Book the disbursement of client loans;
- Record, account for, maintain and reconcile the bank’s securities portfolio;
- Handle repo‑securities transactions;
- Prepare the Nostro position for the ALM‑Treasury team;
- Handle bank exchange rates and interest rates;
- Reconcile data flows between various systems;
- Coordinate outsourced tasks with the relevant Back‑Office colleagues;
- Deal with investigations, complaints and claims;
- Perform daily, weekly and quarterly controls;
- Participate in new developments, system implementations and department‑wide projects.
- Produce monthly statistics and business reports;
- Maintain contact and cooperation with partner areas;
Requirements:
- University degree in economics (finance/accounting preferred).
- Fluent written and spoken English and Hungarian.
- 2–3 years of banking experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Accurate, precise work style with strict adherence to deadlines.
- High level of responsibility and strong work ethic.
- Agile mindset, willingness and ability to learn quickly.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
