CIB IT Spain
 CIB IT Spain is responsible for CIB European local applications under its scope, providing ADM (Application Development and Maintenance) and APS (Application Production Support) services to its internal clients, providing vision to the applications and systems under its scope, implementing the overall strategy for developing and implementing technology initiatives. It is also responsible for the planning and implementation of BAU activities, initiatives, and projects for the local BNPP systems within the European territories, delivering those with the respect of Group IT rules, regulatory standards, and compliance guidelines for the IT domains in its scope. From the 17 European branches of BNP Paribas CIB, there are 13 countries  (Netherlands, Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Czech Republic, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Belgium) that are under CIB IT Spain scope. The others are managed currently by  local IT teams.
 
ABOUT THE JOB
 
MISSION
 
As a member of the ADMt team of CIB IT Spain, serving as IT Business Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to analyze business needs within functional domains to enhance appalications in scope with sustainable solutions that align with strategic plans and requests, ensuring their compliance with the standards and policies in force at BNP Paribas.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 

1. Understand and analyze the needs of the Business related to one or more functional domains, with the aim of enhancing the IS with appropriate and sustainable solutions in line with the entity's strategic plan and the related request portfolio:

 Handle demands from different stakeholders on several topics and  Contribute to preliminary studies with the business

 Participate, as necessary, in monitoring the portfolio and prioritizing requests in their scope of activity

 Clarify, analyze from a critical and constructive perspective and, as necessary, challenge the need expressed by the Business regarding the entity's strategic plan

 Create business cases including alternatives and  Design practical solutions within the budget and technical constraints of the team

 

2. Ensure that the solution is compatible with the requirements derived from the Business's needs

 Formalize the statement of requirements and have it validated by the Business

 Define, formalize and request validation of requirements related to the need with the contributors involved, in compliance with the entity's applicable practices

 Closely collaborate with the development team to ensure a correct solution.

 Create test plans and show entry/exit criteria for each test

 Execute system testing, record all results, and supply input for defect prioritization

 Supporting users in acceptance tests (UAT) and Develop user training requirements and conduct training where needed

 Contribute with the Business to change management activities and deployment for the end customer

 Help identify Business impacts caused by the solution and prepare action plans

 Provide level 3 production support when needed

 

3. Management of projects and initiatives in the scope:

 Engage and build strong relationships with all the stakeholders including the management, project team for the project success.

 Participate and contribute to team catch up, reviews, retrospectives, progress updates and planning forum

 Create project schedules and keep realistic project plan – including risks, issues, and interdependencies with actions to manage the impact.

 Set the project budget and manage any deviations on time.

 Proactive project status reporting to management, sponsors and stakeholders and running steering committees.

 Promptly escalate issues requiring support from line management and sponsors

 To ensure that tests are carried out at each initiative or project

 Manage vendors for third party system implementation

 Ensure that the project is closed in a controlled manner, communicate learnings, providing final budget versus actuals status, and ensuring handover to production support teams.

 
 
REQUIREMENTS
 
  • Studies

- Bachelor's in Economics or Business Administration

 
  • Experience

Ideally, a prior experience of 6–8 years is required, specialized in the design and maintenance of applications

Solid  and proved experience throughout the entire development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to production rollout. 

Project management experience.

Experience in task prioritization and providing guidance and assistance to developemet teams and users.

Language requirements: full professional proficiency in English is mandatory; knowledge of French or any other European language is a plus.
