About the job

  • The Finance & Strategy function (F&S) ensures, for the BNP Paribas Group, the production and publication of accounting and financial management statements necessary for the management of the Group, financial and tax optimization along with the external growth strategy. It also plays an alert role vis-à-vis of the General Management

Your Main Activities Are

  • Ensure that appropriate operational risk management and permanent control framework are in place
  • Identify control solutions
  • Monitor the level of deployment of permanent operational control activities
  • Support management team, by providing the main KPI’s, findings, risks and control environment
  • Administrate F&S tools (Esop, 360 RiskOP libraries, procedures, COGNOS extractions, Tableau)
  • Contribute to ensuring the completeness of permanent control coverage
  • Define the standards for monitoring operational risk adapted to the Finance scope
  • Provide methodological support for the deployment of the associated general internal control framework
  • Monitor the risks related to accounting and financial information and other risks
  • Collect risk indicators (RCSA, IH, PI), and the status on roll-out of risk plans
  • Controls issued by other Functions and the result of these controls
  • Ensure daily interaction with RISK ORM, analyze the requests of Risk ORM on Finance
  • Produce materials for the ICC and contribute to various committees (FORCC)
  • Review processes within the bank and develop good understanding of the control environment surrounding these processes that affect the Financial Statements and more in general the financial reporting
  • Contribute to the deployment and improvement projects of the tool (Beacon) related to accounting and financial controls as defined by Finance management
  • Contribute to improving, automating and securing the reporting process from Beacon to Risk tool (Risk360)

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Master’s degree Accounting, Finance and/or Business
  • Up to 5 years of professional experience in external and internal audit, control or risk
  • Previous relevant experience in Finance or banking
  • Experience in leading small teams 2-3 members or leading small projects
  • Experience of working in an international environment
  • Knowledge of Business Process modelling
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Knowledge of BNPP organization and business lines 
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Analytical skills and critical thinking
  • Goal oriented
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, such as autonomy, capacity to manage several tasks in parallel and to prioritize to meet deadlines

  • F&S count +1800 employees specialized in Accounting, Reporting, Performance Steering, Tax, Control, Regulatory and Project to mention few of them.  F&S is organized around 3 mutualized regional platform (America, Europe and Asia/Pacific), 1 Shared Finance Service center located in India, Central F&S teams located in Paris and decentralized Finance, Tax and Development departments located in each BNPP country presence
  • The Infinity EMEA Finance & Strategy Platform is the Regional EMEA Mutualized platform and Group platform delivering services that covers the whole financial dimension: Accounting production activities, reporting, control, transformation projects, IT and GDO. Our platform serves EMEA Countries and CFO´s, Group Head Office and also worldwide entities when it refers to projects (Transformations & IT). The Infinity EMEA Finance & Strategy Platform is located in a dual location Madrid and Lisbon
