- Since 2015, BNP Paribas Wealth Management has a competence center in Lisbon (PIMH = Portugal International Markets Hub) to manage activities for the Head Office and several locations (Switzerland, Luxembourg, France, among others). Within this competence center, Portugal HO Investment Services Office team counts 4 people. We are currently reinforcing this team and are looking for a: WM HO Investment Services Operational Risk Officer
- Regulation becoming tougher for banks, there is an increasing demand for controlling and mastering a robust control and risk management setup
- The Wealth Management Investment Services Office team is looking to reinforce its operational control team in Portugal to support the Paris HO team. This is an interesting opportunity to join the growing PIMH family in close connection with Wealth Management business and controlling teams in Paris
- Support and assist the Responsible of Investment Services Head Office (HO) Operational Permanent Control (OPC) in his main tasks. 70% of the assignment will be oriented on controls topics and 30% on transversal tasks
- The day-to-day work will require regular collaboration with WM HO teams, among which Investment Services, Risk, Compliance and Legal representatives. The candidate may target to serve as backup of the responsible of Investment Services HO OPC when necessary

- Reinforce knowledge linked to financial instruments and risk management
- Build a professional network within Wealth Management business line experts, as well in Paris as in Lisbon
Your Main Activities Are
- Execution operational controls
- Document gathering
- Interview with stakeholders
- Execute the controls accordingly to the control plan
- Write summaries of the controls results and present them to the heads of respective asset classes
- Input control documentation and results in appropriate risk tools (eg: Risk 360)
- Input controls exemption in the “Exemption tool” (CET tool)
- Follow-up “action plans” with stakeholders to close them according to deadlines
- Reinforce Control documentation and framework
- Create and update controls with asset classes sponsors
- Update and monitor controls exemption accordingly
- Risk management for WM Investment Services
- Contribute to the activity mapping for Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA)
- Perform the yearly RCSA analysis for IS (HO IS and BNP Property) according to Group calendar and requirements
- HO Investment Services Procedures (rules) documents
- Support and contribute on drafting of investment services’ procedures (asset classes and activities)
- Update procedures periodically when necessary
Profile and Skills to Success
- Master’s Degree in Finance or Economics
- Up to 5 years of Experience in Management Control, Audit, Operational risk management
- Knowledge in Controls, Audit, Inspection or Organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word)
- Fluency in English
- Communication skills
- Analytical skills, rigor and accuracy, dynamism
- Autonomy (as manager is in Paris), organization and responsibility
- Capacity to commit to deadlines
- Interpersonal working relationships, team spirit (follow-up / feedback)
- Able to adapt to a fast pace and multi-cultural environment
