Job Title: Production Engineer
Department: ITG PRODUCTION
About Business line/Function: APS BCEF
Position Purpose:
Within the APS BCEF teams, the Production engineer is a technical expert, recognized for his/her expertise in one or more technologies associated with the operating systems implemented by BNP Paribas, transfer tools, web servers or application servers, as well as containers and container orchestration solutions. He/she oversees managing the technical platform [OS] and the infrastructure underlying it, in the context of developing Cloud solutions.
The main missions of the Production Engineer are as follows:
· Guaranteeing quality and continuity of service
· Maintaining services in operational condition and ensuring safety and efficiency
· Carrying out studies, contributing to transformation projects and deploying technical solutions
· Participating in a continuous improvement initiative
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
- Provide production and reliability needs to enrich product backlogs.
- Coordinate and challenge stakeholders to meet operational and delivery commitments.
- Identify and share the best production practices across teams.
- Building deployment infrastructure
- Automating recurring operating actions
Contributing Responsibilities
- Participating in optimizing the server environments operated
- Transforming current activities into an orchestrated-on demand mode.
- Inclusion within a continuous improvement initiative
- Ensuring the maintenance in operational condition of the infrastructure within APS BCEF scope, notably including:
- Incident management
- Problems management
- Obsolescence/IT Risk management
- Capacity management
