Job Title: Analyst

Department: FSS

About Business line/Function: Finance & Strategy

Roles: Accounting & Reporting 


Accounting Role Description:

  • Review and book daily/monthly entries (accruals, provisions, pre‑payments) and enforce ledger data‑quality controls.
  • Perform full‑cycle reconciliation (source‑to‑GL, intercompany, management‑accounting systems) and variance analysis for multiple legal entities, highlighting trends and addressing gaps.
  • Prepare month‑end substantiation, fixed‑income IFRS 13 disclosures, and cost‑reallocation schedules; support intercompany/transfer‑pricing reporting.
  • Manage audit requests, run daily control books, and ensure proper documentation of intercompany processes.
  • Participate in system upgrades, UAT and user‑acceptance testing; identify and implement process‑improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and data‑mining skills, rigor in control implementation, and proficiency in Excel, VBA/SQL, and BusinessObjects.

Reporting Role Description:

  • Prepare quarterly financial statements and reporting schedules (IFRS & local GAAP) and ensure compliance with BNP Paribas Accounting Control Plan.
  • Reconcile inter‑company balances, close breaks, and align statutory, management, and bridge P&L accounts.
  • Drive performance‑steering by validating segmented P&L data, allocating revenues and costs to business lines, and feeding the Performance Steering tools.
  • Produce and analyze Net Banking Income, costs, and Cost‑of‑Risk by product, country, and line; partner with senior management for monthly business‑performance reviews and ad‑hoc reporting.
  • Lead/participate in finance projects, system upgrades, and process‑improvement initiatives to minimize manual re‑classifications and enhance reporting standards.
  • Apply robust operational controls, respond to Head‑Office queries, and provide value‑added commentary for performance management.
  • Required: banking/financial‑services experience, strong knowledge of IFRS/local GAAP, solid Excel (formulas, pivots, Power Query) and PowerPoint skills, and ability to learn new systems quickly.
