 ATCI serves as Arval’s dedicated IT hub, closely collaborating with the onshore Arval IT teams to implement global technology strategy. It plays a key role in delivering IT solutions across countries while driving execution from India. The center strengthens Arval’s digital transformation by aligning its capabilities with international IT needs.

ARVAL Architecture CoE

The Arval Architecture CoE brings together IT technical and functional expertise to design and govern the Arval IS architecture from the ideation through to the production. It also supports projects and initiatives by defining and enforcing standards across key domains including the Cloud competency center, Testing and IA, CI/CD toolchains, integration/exchange platforms and API management. 

 

Position Purpose:

Senior API Engineer will be responsible for Strengthen internally the expertise on API Management and Apigee Platform. This engineer supports other tribes’ engineers in their API design by providing recommendations and by reviewing the specifications to ensure the full compliance with group standards, security policies, and best practices

 

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

·       The Senior API Engineer acts as a key technical reference for API design and Apigee platform administration In Arval.

·       They support other tribes’ engineers in their API design by providing recommendations and by reviewing specifications to ensure the full compliance with group standards, security policies, and best practices.

·       They support projects to Identify proactively the existing reusable integration patterns.

Business and/or technical skills:

·       They oversee Developing and configuring API proxies on Apigee by following BNPP group norms and standards and then, guaranties its publication supporting the lifecycle management of the APIs (versioning, documentation, monitoring and deprecation).

·       In addition, easing the integration by providing and maintaining CICD toolchain will be part of the responsibilities.

 Technical Skills:

·       Strong experience in API proxy development and policies on Apigee API gateway 

·       API Standards:  REST, OpenAPI/Swagger, JSON/XML, API versioning

·        API Security: OAuth2, JWT, API Keys, TLS, MTLS

·       Development and Languages: Java, Soap/Xml, Microservices, distributed systems, Git, CI/CD pipelines, cloud knowledge preferred

·       Flexible: able to adapt to a changing environment. Able to work with self-guidance.

·       Collaborators should be able to switch between technologies

·       Ability to work in a cross-functional, multi-entity environment. 

·       Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Education Level: Bachelor Degree or equivalent

Experience Level: > 5 years of experience in software engineering, integration, and API architecture
