Your role :

Your role’s is to coordinate the 1st Line of Defense of the Permanent Control framework within Personal Finance Benelux (AlphaCredit & PF NL).

You are responsible for supervising and monitoring the LOD1 permanent control framework of your entity, ensuring that the operational risk of each department within the entity is fully covered by a robust and sustainable permanent control framework. 

You are also expected to recommend permanent controls framework improvements, when necessary, in order to secure the activity of your entity.

Reporting to the COO Benelux, you are the manager of 6 full time OPC’s and 5 part time ( functional role) and part for the OPS Management Team. 

The Head of OPC supports each local business/function OPC in her/his entity and is in charge of:

• Ensuring that risks to which they are exposed, actual or potential, are identified and assessed by the local business/function OPC (i.e., having a RCSA up to date).
• Designing, implementing, and regularly proposing adaptation to her/his CEO to adapt the permanent control framework in order to mitigate the risks.
• Guaranteeing the establishment and proper functioning of the local governance in order to disseminate a culture of risk.
• Implementing a Change Management plan to increase Permanent Control awareness in the organization.
• Providing an overview on the operational risks and permanent control framework situation of her/his entities highlighting the attention points and remediation actions, and overseeing their implementation
• Aligning with PF Central Control Office (LOD1) on the methodology and guideline.
• Escalating any alert to the COO, the relevant local LOD2 control functions when appropriate and PF Central Control Office (LOD1)

The transversal OPC also acts as the entry point for Central Control Office team, at PF level, for all matters concerning 1st line of defense of her/his entity.

Your profile :

• Excellent knowledge of English & French – Dutch is an asset.
• More than 10 years of relevant experience and also an experience in a manager role.
• A strong commitment to risk culture and operational excellence. 
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify emerging risks and explain risk trends.
• Ability to provide high level view and capture management attention on key messages.
• Strong interpersonal & leadership skills. 
• Proactive self-starter, ability to learn quickly and to take initiative. Enthusiasm and energy combined with a clear sense of how to “make it happen”. 
• Ability to work with key stakeholders to develop and implement solutions to reduce risks across the organization.
• Excellent negotiation skills, ability to resolve conflict between teams or individuals so that functional / organizational objectives are achieved through teamwork, collaboration and stakeholder engagement. 
• Good flexibility (main workplace is Brussels with regular visit to Rotterdam is needed)
