BNP Paribas Fortis is a key player on the Belgian market and a driver of economic growth. Within the entity Payments (=beating heart of the bank), you will be part of the squad ‘IPCCIB’, team responsible for the development & maintenance of the International Payments.  We deliver new functionalities and enhancements on a frequent basis.

Position Purpose: 

As a tester, you join an enthusiastic multidisciplinary team. Together, you test, enrich, and maintain the applications doing functional testing.

You will test products developed in Cobol  from the BNP Paribas Fortis requirements definition to the end to end test participation. Working in an agile mode with daily huddles and frequent production releases, whilst maintaining high quality standards.

The position requires working in a virtual team and international environment and is multidisciplinary in nature. It involves coordination with other locations and divisions of BNP Paribas as necessary. It is important that the candidate should have strong financial products knowledge along with high analytical skills and attention to details.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

As member of an international, multi-functional squad you work closely together with the business and functional analysts as well with the technical analyst/developers in order to define the test strategy of a functional /technical change. 

·       You identify the necessary testcases and prepare the correct dataset for testing.

·       You identify and manage dependencies with other teams (within or outside the tribe) and ensure a good test coverage within the application landscape, keeping an E2E view

·       You execute tests and report on test progress and results in a structured way ensuring a clear communication of involved parties within or outside of your squad.

·       Most of the testing is manual, but you look for opportunities to automate tests where possible.

·       You participate in integration and functional acceptance testing guaranteeing high quality of our applications & functionality.

·       You structure & document testcases to ensure future re-usability

·       You actively participate in squad ceremonies, ensure a good communication with your fellow squadmembers and stakeholdersContributing Responsibilities

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Provide effort estimations and planning of the test activities

Collaborate with functional analysts and developers in defining requirements and designs

Automation of specific test conditions if applicable

Specifics for Agile Testing:

Provide and execute just in time test cases for current sprint and not for the entire project

Able to elaborate test scripts and execute tests.

Experience with test automation tools and test reporting tools.

o   SQL

o   Octane (nice to have)

o   Rally (nice to have)

Specific Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years of experience along with Bachelor's Degree - in IT, Computer related field or equivalent experience.

• Prior experience in similar domain (Payments).
