Junior KYB Specialist / KYB Specialist
We are looking for a motivated Junior KYB Specialist / KYB Specialist to join the Sell‑Side Operations (SSO) team supporting BNP Paribas Asset Management. In this role you will act as the bridge between business needs and the technical execution of Know‑Your‑Broker (KYB) & AML controls, ensuring a reliable, compliant, and seamless onboarding experience for our broker and research‑provider partners.
Requirements:
- High operational knowledge in Financial Security domain. Risk awareness
- Autonomy, methodology, analytical capacity, rigour with attention to details and data (diverse types of documents). Excellent verbal and written communication skills, assertive. Good organization & time management skills, multitasking good management, resilience. Able to raise alerts on purpose. Positive attitude. Team spirit.
- Excellent command of English, written and spoken. French and/or any other language is a plus.
- Ability to extract, analyse and prepare reporting on KYB-related data. Working knowledge of public sources of Brokers-related data (SWIFT KYC Registry, BrokerCheck, gov.uk, etc.) is a plus.
- Working knowledge of the main Office applications (Excel, Outlook) and collaborative online tools like MS Teams, SharePoint.
Responsibilities:
- Initiate and perform KYB analysis in accordance with the AML regulations required by the policies and procedures of BNP Paribas Group and BNP Paribas Asset Management, and by all relevant local laws and regulations
- Collect and record required information and documents from internal databases, external sources, and the counterparty itself
- Check the consistency, validity, and completeness of collected information and documents.
- Perform the necessary screenings (reputational, sanctions & PEP) and review the KYB Scoring
- Coordinate the onboarding or recertification decision process: prepare and submit the file to SSO Manager or Compliance, as appropriate, and monitor the approval conditions if any
- Handle day-to-day screening alerts accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain Brokers’ KYB data in relevant systems (Cosmos Brokers), in accordance with BNP Paribas Group policies and relevant local regulations
- Prepare KYB reports (KPI)
- Perform 1st Line of Defense controls and maintains a robust control framework
- Keep your management aware on burden, blocking points or issues
