About the job

  • The Resource & Portfolio Management (RPM) Team is part of the Securitised Product Group (SPG), which combines all securitization, insurance and other risk distribution activities within Global Banking EMEA, Capital Markets
  • GreenStars is a wholly owned credit insurance company of BNP Paribas (captive). GreenStars provides Political Risk and/or Credit Risk insurance solutions to a diverse range of BNPP business lines. Within GreenStars, the Operations team in charge of developing a robust business framework and accompanying underwriting activity by the means of insurance policies and premiums administration, liquidity management, elaboration of various reporting and setting-up appropriate controls and implementing innovative and efficient solutions
  • The Insurance Trade Management (ITM) is responsible for the representation of Credit Insurance Policies in dedicated systems and the management of their cash flows (calculation, monitoring of premium, etc.) and for their correct regulatory Capital calculation in the systems, to achieve optimum Capital savings for the bank

Your Main Activities Are

  • Supervising role
  • Act as a point of contact between GreenStars’ Operations and ITM to ensure streamlining of all processes covered by the two teams
  • Identify synergies and rationalization in processes covered by the two teams and adapt procedures and processes accordingly 
  • Ensure controls are well defined and followed to reduce data quality
  • Improve & automate processes (bottlenecks, recurrent issues) 
  • Develop or update Python codes to automate processes and reduce the operational risk  
  • Develop and follow-up some risk control checklists on the relevant processes 
  • Develop and monitor Operational KPI (processing time, error rate, …)
  • Share with the management any alert, operational risk or issue on the different tasks either projects or BAU
  • Ensure quality and professionalism of junior members, and to support the management on strategic topics concerning the team
  • Day to day GreenStars’ Operations 
  • Follow the operational set-up in respect of insurance premium and policy administration (invoices and follow-up of payments by the Metiers, update of the relevant internal files, cash movement follow-up, check of data reliability between the contracts and the IT tools)  
  • Coordinate daily with various stakeholders to ensure efficient operations: reporting and interaction with the brokers based in London, the accountant, the actuary, insurance team based in Paris, 
  • Reporting of the insured outstanding and insurance premium to GreenStars’ reinsurers   
  • Actively contribute to the deployment of new IT tools and to the digitalization program of GreenStars that focus on efficiency improvement
  • Promote a good image of GreenStars vis-a-vis the Insurance Group in Paris, the internal BNPP customers, as well as the insurance market in London

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Master’s degree in Finance
  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience
  • Good knowledge of Python and SQL 
  • Proficient level of Excel
  • Fluency in English
  • Analytical Ability
  • Good Communication skills - oral & written
  • Attention to detail
