Your Job at a glance

Shape the Future of Data at BNP Paribas Fortis!

Passionate about turning data into action?

Join us in driving the bank’s Data Management Strategy (DMS2.0)-a bold initiative to build a more data-driven, agile, and innovative organization!

As part of the Data Services Tribe, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, scalable data solutions that empower decision-making across the bank. From AI-ready data feeds to advanced analytics and business intelligence, your work will directly support our mission: transforming data into strategic value for our business lines and customers.

If you’re ready to take on a challenging, impactful role in a dynamic environment, this is your opportunity to contribute, innovate, and grow within a leading financial institution.

And in detail

From Data Insights to Business Impact!

As a Data Analyst at BNP Paribas Fortis, you will lead the full lifecycle of business analysis—from initial concept to final delivery. Your mission is to transform complex challenges into data-driven solutions that align with our evolving strategic needs.

You will analyze and optimize existing data flows, mapping user roles and system interactions to identify gaps and inefficiencies. By defining target solutions and use cases, you’ll ensure our data infrastructure supports seamless decision-making and operational excellence.

Collaboration is at the heart of your role. You’ll work closely with Product Owners, architects, and subject-matter experts to validate requirements, bridge business and technical teams, and maintain clear traceability for impactful outcomes. Your ability to align diverse perspectives will be key to delivering solutions that meet both business objectives and technical standards.

Beyond analysis, you’ll translate business needs into test conditions, ensuring robust validation through product, performance, and UAT testing. You’ll also contribute to data architecture design, prototype reviews, and quality assurance-guaranteeing that every solution is reliable, scalable, and user-friendly.

Finally, you’ll drive delivery by coordinating testing, managing change, and creating intuitive reports and dashboards. As the critical link between stakeholders and technical teams, you’ll ensure solutions are not only implemented but also adopted and leveraged effectively.

Your talents and skills

Analytical Expertise Meets Business Impact

We are looking for a Data Analyst with a strong foundation in requirements management and data-driven problem-solving.

Your background should include:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) paired with proven expertise in requirements analysis and conceptual modeling—using techniques to structure complex data and processes. Your knowledge of IT testing (including UAT and performance validation) and understanding of workflow optimization will ensure robust, scalable solutions.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (backlog management, sprint planning, MVP mindset) and data fundamentals—such as BI, reporting, and dashboarding—will enable you to bridge technical and business needs. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential for clear, actionable deliverables.
  • Experience in banking, finance, or insurance is a plus, but your analytical mindset, structured thinking, and problem-solving skills are what truly matter. You thrive in fast-paced environments, managing priorities and stakeholders with ease, while keeping a customer-centric focus to deliver tangible solutions.
  • Your strong communication and negotiation skills make you an effective collaborator—whether working in a team or independently. Proactive, goal-oriented, and detail-focused, you embrace change, drive innovation, and continuously seek improvement.
  • Fluency in English and French or Dutch (oral and written) is required to succeed in our multilingual environment.

What we have to offer

  • A permanent contract and an attractive pay package.
  • In addition to your remuneration and benefits (meal vouchers, insurance, holidays), we offer flexible salary options, allowing you to convert part of your salary into personalised benefits (phone use, IT equipment, transport, etc.).
  • We support your work-life balance by offering a mixture of in-person and remote work, among other things.
  • Your workplace will be located in Brussels city center.

Our impact

As a company, we implement concrete and sustainable solutions to reduce our environmental footprint, such as saving paper and resources, recycling our waste, encouraging the use of green transport, buildings that are designed and managed to limit our impact, etc.

Your prospects

The departments that make up BNP Paribas cover a wide range of activities. You will therefore have many opportunities for “horizontal” and “vertical” career development.

Let's share our values

At BNP Paribas Fortis, we surround ourselves with talented individuals, regardless of their gender or gender identity, age, origin, sexual orientation, disability… And to ensure equal opportunities for everyone, regardless of their personal or family obligations, our full-time job offers are also open to part-time, at 80 or 90%.

If the function is categorized as a banking services provider function (cf. Law of 22 April 2019 establishing an oath and a disciplinary regime for the banking sector), you will also need to provide us with a 'certificate of absence of professional ban' from the FSMA confirming that you are not professionally disqualified.
