The Server Infrastructure team is responsible for supervising, monitoring and developing the Server of the regional Hub of BNP Paribas in the India region, liaising with BNP Paribas Head Offices where all major banking applications are hosted. Position Purpose | |||||
The principle objective of this position is to architect and provide expert level support and strategy for the production Windows server, Citrix & virtualization environment. Maintain proactive performance monitoring of the environment utilizing specific monitoring tools. Play an active role in the day-to-day support activities, administration and projects associated with windows infrastructure/applications and maintain all the Windows servers. | |||||
Responsibilities | |||||
Direct Responsibilities
• Provide 24/7/365 primary support of Citrix CVAD administration, troubleshooting and knowledge of the product • Proficiency in Netscaler Client implementation and support. • Level 3 experience in designing, deployment and troubleshooting an enterprise implementing and supporting XenApp, XenDesktop infrastructure Provisioning Services • Excellent understanding of NetScaler features and deployment scenarios • Proactively monitor all Citrix systems utilizing BNP Paribas standard tools. • Certifications in Citrix and relevant technologies are a plus • Good knowledge of Windows OS (2022/2019) Administration and technologies such as Domains, DNS, Registries, DHCP/WINS. • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy and GPO management • Strong knowledge of performance management and capacity planning. • Proficiency in automation and scripting, particularly with PowerShell, Python or other scripting languages/skills • Good working knowledge of networking functions (i.e. function of TCP/IP, SNMP) subnetting and routing. • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Service oriented, positive, committed and enthusiastic team player. • Will be required to work weekends & on an On-Call rotation 24*7 • Proficient in English.
Contributing Responsibilities • Degree in Information Systems • 12+ years of experience in Linux/ UNIX environment within the financial services industry • Expert knowledge of Linux Redhat/Ubuntu/Debian administration skills (Linux VDA) • Good knowledge of Artifactory, PHP, JAVA script and CI/CD tools (Jenkins) skills • Good knowledge of Ansible playbooks management (YAML) / Ansible Tower skills • Good programming skills with GIT/Bitbucket repository management • Good knowledge of system performance and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Dell OME | |||||
Technical & Behavioral Competencies | |||||
• At least 12+ years of technical experience in Citrix Technologies: o Citrix CVAD o Citrix Netscaler • Responsible for supporting a trading environment consisting of Windows 2016/2019/2022 servers & to be actively involved in the planning & implementation of new projects. • Provide support for CITRIX Xenapp /Xendesktop environment & be involved in the upgrade projects. • Proactively monitor virtual environment for capacity, stress, risk and workload and take necessary remediation steps • Strong technical skills in virtualization, networking, and security, with a deep understanding of Citrix architecture, deployment, and management. • Experience with Citrix monitoring and management tools, including Citrix Director, Citrix Studio • Relevant certifications such as Citrix Certified Professional (CCP-V), Citrix Certified Expert (CCE-V), or equivalent are highly desirable. • Interface with Vendors and Internal Global Teams to ensure the environment conforms to the current standards. • Manage Business Continuance in relation to Disaster Recovery. • Maintain System high reliability, availability and resiliency levels. • Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd Level Support for the production Environments • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability. • Perform system upgrades and mandatory security/OS patching. • Liaise with application support teams to gather requirements, design, and deploy standard systems • Project implementation for all business lines. • Provide 24*7 On call support based on rotation within the team • Perform thorough morning checks on all critical applications using existing tools or scripts. • Strictly abide and follow the company policy and procedures pertaining to change and incident management. • Responsible for ensuring that all systems are deployed consistent with group standards and best practices. • Incident and Problem management: take ownership and work with team to resolve production related issues.
