Position Purpose
This role is within the “Infrastructure, Transportation & Environment” (“ITE”) advisory sector team based in Singapore and covering the APAC region. The successful candidate will support the team origination and execution activity in order to deliver the pipeline and budget. ITE teams covers the following industries: (a) Non-Digital and Non-Renewable Infrastructure (e.g. toll roads, ports, airports, container leasing, etc..), (b) Environment (e.g. waste management, recycling, water treatment, etc…), (c) Transportation (e.g. shipping, airlines, aircraft leasing, public transportation, etc…) and (d) logistics
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support in the origination and execution of M&A and capital markets advisory transactions in the sectors covered by the ITE team
- Preparation of presentation materials and delivery of pitches to clients/prospects for marketing purposes
- Development of various types of financial models for mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising transactions
- Execution of transactions under the day-to-day supervision of the Vice President and/or Associate
- Supervision of Interns to deliver work required
Other contributions
- Keeping track of news and developments in relevant industries
- Effective use of information sources and research tools
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
- Technically strong in financial modelling, especially proficiency with Microsoft Excel. VBA macros mastering is not a strict requirement but a strong advantage
- Experience working on transactions in the infrastructure advisory sector (or financing but with strong debt modelling experience) ideally as part of a sector team of a reputable international investment bank (or a “Big 4” with significant debt modelling experience)
- Strong commitment and hard-working individual given nature of the industry
- Act with integrity and is a strong team player
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with client focused and commercial mindset
- Proficiency in speaking and written English. Proficiency in Mandarin or another Southeast Asian language is an advantage although not necessary
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Banking and Finance or the equivalent is preferable
