2026 APAC Long Internship (July to December) - Wealth Management, Digital Product - Hong Kong

As a AI intern, you will:

  • As a AI Intern in BNP Paribas Wealth Management APAC, you will join the AI team and work side‑by‑side with data scientists and IT engineering squads.
  • Your role is central to the organization's AI strategy, responsible for guiding AI applications development that blend data‑driven insights,. You are expected to assist in identifying opportunities for AI enabled efficiency improvement or revenue expansion, perform AI development work leveraging internal tools and platforms, working with users on embedding AI products into daily workflow.
  • You will need to work with cross-functional teams within the bank (and vendor, if applicable) to crystallize the business requirement, drive the technical build, and complete the validation and delivery of the AI applications to launch, while ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements, and maximizing product value for our Wealth Management clients.
  • In short – you will own the product lifecycle, a series of structured phases - from strategy and conceptualization, to launch and evolution – executed iteratively using feedback loops to refine the AI applications continuously.

 

Primary Role Responsibilities

  • AI Use-case Definition: (1) Assist in identifying opportunities for AI to improve efficiency and/or enhance revenue, (2) Work with business teams to define the use-case input, required outputs, and modification (if any) to processes. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with relevant business units, technology teams, legal, compliance, risk, client management, operations, and external vendors (if applicable) to translate business needs into actionable product requirements.
  • Development: Work with cross-functional teams to prototype and develop AI applications, lead UAT and deployment of your use case. 
  • Performance Monitoring: Track user engagement, feature adoption, and KPIs to measure product success and inform future iterations. Maintain oversight of user feedback.
  • Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure all initiatives comply with financial regulations, internal policies, and risk management standards relevant to the bank.
  • Vendor Management: Where product is supported by external vendor, collaborate with vendor and IT to ensure performance and smooth integration of third-party solutions.
  • Change Management & Training: Provide support for adoption of AI use-cases across regional teams, including training, feedback loops, and continuous improvement processes.

  • Problem Solving: Ability to dissect complex challenges and identify root causes and opportunities to improve product features, and client experience.
  • Analytical: Ability to apply analytical reasoning, translate qualitative insights and quantitative data into actionable product decisions.

 

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

  • Understanding of LLMs and genAI systems build. Understanding and experience in building agentic workflows would be an advantage
  • Ability to learn new frameworks and tools. 
  • Proficiency in python data science tech stack.
  • Good working attitude and willing to accept new tasks
  • Demonstrates responsibility, confidentiality and a client-first mindset at all times
  • Ensures accuracy and consistency in reports, presentations and operational tasks
  • Quick to grasp new concepts, receptive to feedback and comfortable in a fast-paced environment that requires multi-tasking.
