VIE Compliance Officer – Lisbonne – H/F 

Your daily routine? 

The Compliance Function is an independent and integrated function of BNP Paribas Group. The overall mission of Compliance is, through second level control, to give reasonable assurance to senior management, that compliance, regulatory and reputational risks within Compliance Territory Portugal scope are monitored, controlled and mitigated as relevant.

You'll be attached to the Head of Regulatory Compliance in charge of the management of Professional Ethics (PE) topics within Compliance Territory Portugal.

Your main tasks will be:

• Provide support on PE domain through a critical analysis of the applicable Group/Local policies and procedures.
• Contribute to the definition and implementation of internal controls for an efficient oversight of the PE.
• Provide to the Control team the required information for the execution of Generic Control Plans on PE.
• Contribute to audit missions on PE by providing the relevant information.
• Contribution to the development of PE Compliance framework within Territory Compliance Portugal through local regulatory watch and analysis of the applicable Group/local policies and procedures.
• Provide support in the establishment of a clear communication with key stakeholders inside / outside Compliance.
• Contribution support to promote a strong culture and awareness of the applicable Compliance procedures.

The working environment is important! 

Compliance Territory Portugal is a team composed of 10 permanent employees, divided through three units: FS-KYC; Regulatory Compliance; and, COO, Securities Services and Real Estate Portugal.

This job position is integrated within the Regulatory Compliance Unit, which also manages Market Integrity, PIC and other non-FS topics.

The office is based in the center of Lisbon where is easy to commute.

Are you our next VIE? 

You have a master’s degree, majoring in Finance, Economics, Compliance or Law. You have a solid knowledge of risk and of investment banking and markets. You have gained first relevant experience (internships and work-study program included) on similar missions.   

You speak fluent English, and you have a very good command of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). 

You demonstrate adaptability and team spirit. Your communication, your analytical skills and your detail orientation will be assets to progress on this mission.
