FRESH – Performance Management and Liquidity Solutions (PMLS)

FRESH has been created in January 2020, as a joint venture of Finance functional project teams with their counterpart ITg IT project teams. FRESH is hierarchically part of ITg, but with a very strong functional link with Finance, its sponsoring department. The main purpose of its creation is to align the efforts of Finance and ITg and accomplish the delivery of projects in the most timely and cost effective way.

PMLS is one of the main departments in FRESH covering Liquidity and Performance Management streams.

Position Purpose

The role will focus on the Liquidity IT workstream.

·        Purpose: Responsible for the Production, Development and Maintenance of the Liquidity suite of applications which are part of BNP Paribas group Liquidity reporting. 

·        Scope: ISPL based PMLS IT Development team. Responsibility for the IT development and enhancement of PMLS applications as well as production processes and enhancments.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

·        Requirement gathering – Work with requirement providers and onsite team based in Paris / London and the USA to gather and analyze requirements, conduct and participate in meetings / workshops to understand requirements.

·        Analysis – Conduct functional/ Technical/ impact analysis. Write functional / Technical specifications for offshore development team based in Mumbai and Chennai.

·        Testing – Support SIT / UAT and Regression testing. Create test cases as needed for testing. Work on defect resolution on defects raised by Users.

·        Coordination – This position will require working with different teams based in different locations worldwide. Effective coordination between different teams is required.

·        Documentation – Raise change request for extracts / data required for reconciliation and controls, Raise Jira’s for development, raise service now for incidents, prepare test cases etc.

·        Technical knowledge – This role also requires some technical skills like writing SQL, reading stored procedures, coordinate file transfers / CFT connections.

·        Support and run production activities - Act as level 3 support for production activities and own specific production processes. Ability to give clear direction on issue resolution.

·        Production Readiness – Work with extract/ data providers, development team, and application production support team to deploy fully automated reconciliation into production.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

·        5 or more years of experience working as a business analyst in a techno functional role.

·        Good knowledge of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL. Should be able to read, analyze and build complex SQL queries. Should understand the logic flow written in SQL, PLSQL language.

·        Prior experience with projects requiring production support and coordination.

·        Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as presentation skills.

·        Strong analytical and technical skills.

·        Strong understanding of Finance topics within the Financial Services Industry, Banking and Capital Markets sectors.

·        Proven delivery management skills including project planning, coordination.

·        Strong knowledge of SDLC.

• Prior experience in working in Onsite offshore model is a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Science, or Engineering
• 3–5 years of experience in supporting applications and business processes
