 Team Leader in Fund Accounting HFS

As a part of the Hedge Funds Accounting and Valuation team (A&V) within Alternative Funds Operations your aim will be to lead the Valuation team and manage deliverables for our clients

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in Fund Accounting, Valuations or similar
• Minimum 1 year of experience in leading the Team
• Practical knowledge and thorough understanding of NAV production cycle, various types of financial instruments (equities, bonds, ETD/OTC derivatives, corporate actions);
• Understanding of bookkeeping principles and fund accounting;
• Working knowledge and thorough understanding of various Corporate Actions;
• University degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related fields;
• Great communication skills, with English at least on C1 level
• Ability to identify, recommend and implement improvements to existing processes
• Highly motivated and engaged with strong accountability and client focused mindset

Responsibilities: 

As Team Leader of Fund Accounting Team, you will be responsible for managerial and production control activities, in particular:

• Managing Team of c.a.10 members, including but not limited to:
  • Conducting annual performance appraisals and provide regular feedback based on goals for direct reports
  • Conducting teams’ performance management and set career development goals and training plans
  • Planning, scheduling, and managing the daily workflow, be able to flexibly arrange work among the team;
• Reviewing and supporting team’s daily deliverables including final review of end-to-end NAV calculations
• Monitoring daily operations, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness targets are met, establishing remediation plans if needed;
• Ensuring all controls and procedures are properly established, propose recommendations for process modifications if required;
• Building a collaborative inter-departmental relationships to achieve business goals;
• Working on other ad hoc projects or special tasks assigned;
