Position Purpose | |||||||
Under the direct responsibility of the project manager for Products & Execution. The Sr Java Developer will be responsible to oversee the integration of Java solution within the Banks IT System, ensuring alignment with banks governance and practices.
Should there be a need for Development works, the Sr Java Developer must be experienced in design & develop modular, reusable data exchange platform/layer (Java Stack *) that hosts/consumes/orchestrates APIs from various upstream and downstream systems in a cloud platform, all in accordance to the organization’s REST API standards (test driven design, versioning, obsolescence, security). Should the platform be moved to a Cloud solution, the Java Tech must help to facilitate the transition. *Java Tech Stack : Java 8 or above, REST APIs, MySQL/Postgres/PL SQL, Scripting (Windows / Shell), Spring Framework Sr Java Developer should have hands-on development skills with Tech Stack list mentioned above, especially strong with Java and Spring Boot. Should be capable of taking ownership of the entire module through all phases of project life cycle like, design, development, Testing (Unit, SIT and UAT), deployment activities, defect fixes and Prod cut-over. | |||||||
Responsibilities | |||||||
Direct Responsibilities • Lead developers efficiently to drive the project to completion. • Engage the vendor on all technical matters (e.g. review of technical solution/assessment on technical impact of delivery / feedback on quality/ensure solution has no impact on organization IT security and effectiveness of vendor. • Responsible for managing & reporting technical risks. • Control and Maintain the quality of the developments (norms & standards, frameworks, source control, technical reviews, code reviews) • Provide guidance to team members. • Participate to recruitment, on-board and train new comers.
Contributing Responsibilities
• When needed, Participate to the full development lifecycle including design, estimation, planning, development, unit test, release and implementation support. • Work with the Business Analyst and Solution architects to understand the business requirements and translate them to technical solutions in the application. • Contribute / review the technical specifications.
