The Luxembourg branch plays a major part in its operations, offering clients high value-added services extending from custody to securities lending, fund administration, performance measurement and ratings, and bond issuance services.

We are currently looking for a:


Private Capital Loan Solutions Officer (H/F)

 

CONTEXT AND CHALLENGES

The Private Capital Loan Solutions Officer plays a critical role within our broader Private Capital team. This position requires technical expertise in processing and reviewing functions related to Loan Administration and Calculation Agent services, which are provided to BNP Paribas' client base. The Officer is responsible for delivering high-quality output and service to our clients, covering a wide range of middle- and back-office activities. Key responsibilities include handling daily tasks and deliverables for Loan Solutions, supporting onboarding and transitions, contributing to business change projects, and ensuring consistent and sustainable operating processes.

 

WHAT’S YOUR DAY-TO-DAY MISSION?

Primary Role Responsibilities: 

  • Documentation Review: Assess the structure of operations to understand the purpose of deals, including all fee and interest aspects, and identify related points of attention.
  • Data Management: Review asset documentation and ensure relevant data is tracked into our Loan Administration system (SENTRY).
  • System Supervision: Oversee the correct setup of data points in SENTRY, assist international offshoring centers, and perform analytical reviews on the Loan Solutions dataset.
  • Investment Monitoring: Maintain additional tracking files or databases to ensure complete investment monitoring for Loan Solutions Services.
  • Client Deliverables: Ensure all agreed deliverables within the client operating memorandum are prepared and shared in a timely manner, adhering to high-quality standards.


Other contributions:

  • Cash & Portfolio Reconciliation: Perform or supervise reconciliations.
  • Asset Restructuring: Monitor asset restructuring and its impact on portfolio position, accruals, fees, and new entries.
  • Asset Maintenance: Handle cash interest, PIK, fees, and resolve anomalies.
  • Client Onboarding: Contribute to new client and portfolio onboardings.
  • Calculation Agent Tasks: Perform tasks such as hypos, borrowing base monitoring, certificate issuance, waterfall calculations, etc.
  • Client Servicing: Act as a value-added servicer between borrowers and lenders

Your working environment 

You will join a young, diverse, and international team dedicated to innovating the services we offer to our Private Capital Clients. This client-facing role involves close collaboration with Portfolio Accountants, Fund Accountants, the Middle Office Desk, and the Business Implementation Team. Daily interactions with our International Offshoring Center will also be part of your typical workday.

You will manage production peaks during quarter-ends and quieter periods in between, which will be used for preparation work for the next quarter-end.

On-job training with team members and enrolment in BNPP Loan Solution Academy courses will be provided.

 After completing your training, you will have access to remote work opportunities according to our Entity’s policy.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree ideally in Finance or Mathematics.
  • Experience: Strong technical background in financial aspects, ideally in the broader fund or investment area. Previous internship or professional experience in the financial sector is highly valued.
  • Skills: Collaboration, communication, client focus, analytical skills, proactivity, and time management.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French and any other third European language is appreciated.
  • Technical Knowledge: Advanced Office tool knowledge, particularly MS Excel; familiarity with the Sentry System or eFront Invest is an asset.
