Mission


Reporting to the Portugal Client Development Data & Analytics Team Leader, the role will focus on working on global projects and initiatives across Client Development contributing to the growth of Global Market’s franchise.

The mission of the client development team is to support global and regional sales management to define and execute the client strategy via data analytics, competitor benchmarking, market intelligence and qualitative insights collected across GM teams. The Client Development team facilitates the client strategic planning process, including defining the client segmentation and designing and executing various client initiatives.

Client Development plays a critical role to prepare and enable internal client reviews, broker reviews and internal governance forums like the global or regional client boards. Client Development ensures that the relevant KPIs are in place to monitor the performance of the overall client franchise and for each strategic client.

The Portugal Client Development team supports the regional client development hubs located in the US, UK, France, and Hong Kong. The Portugal Client Development team consists of two groups 1- Data & Analytics and 2- Digital Solutions & Planning. The analytics group works on developing data driven strategies and KPIs to measure our performance and continuously streamlines and automates our data driven needs. The Digital Solutions & Planning group ensures we have systemic process to deploy our strategy across regions in a globally consistent approach, including broker review inputs, action item logging, accurate referential data, calendar coordination. 

 

Your Main Activities Are


·   To be part of an international and diverse team who helps Global Markets Front Office to get to know their clients better and identify opportunities and trends through what data can tell. 

·    As a Data Analyst, working directly with one or more of the bank's business areas, you will provide valuable insights to drive business growth, understanding their needs, proposing and implementing data-driven solutions (analysis, visualization and automation). 

·   Developing analytics and strategy around our client segmentation and KPIs to measure performance against them using internal and external data 

·     You will work on continuously automate and scale our analytical capabilities and digitalize our core processes from end to end. 

·     You will exercise a lot of problem identification and problem solving together with technical and business teams. You will move between technical and non-technical areas and should be able to communicate well with different types of professionals. It is very important to be able to clearly and concisely understand stakeholder’s’ needs and translate these to our technical team, as well as present the results of complex analysis to our stakeholders.

·     You must be prepared for routine changes, each day will be filled with new and excited challenges.

 


Profile and Skills to Success


· Data Analytics 5+ years of using Excel, Python and Data visualization tools like Tableau

· Experience with SQL, Power BI, Power Query and DAX is a plus

· Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to build strong relationships within the team and with main stakeholders 

· Ability to analyze, synthetize and simplify, good data interpretation & problem-solving skills

· Strong organizational skills & attention to detail in all components of work

· Global Markets or Investment Banking experience is preferred

· Engineering / Business Intelligence / Data Analyst / Data Engineer / Finance / Mathematics
