Job Title: Financial and Regulatory Reporting Analyst

Business Unit: BNP Paribas Security (BP2S) Operations

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Sandyford, Dublin/Parkmore, Galway (Hybrid)

Role

  • This role sits in the BNP Paribas Securities Services division (BP2S)
  • As a key member of the team, the objective of this role is to assist in the production of the financial and regulatory reporting obligations of the funds we administer
  • The core responsibilities require some subject matter expertise with attention to detail, quality control and excellent service delivery
  • The team works closely with the Operations functions to ensure successful delivery of financial and regulatory reporting deliverables
  • It is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in fund administration and an interest in financial/regulatory reporting to be involved with a growing service within our Fund Administration business


Key Responsibilities

  • To assist in production of financial and regulatory reporting team obligations (Financial Reporting and Regulatory Reporting)
  • Ensure all financial reporting procedures are adhered to and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations
  • To assist in efficiently planning the financial statement preparation and audit process in conjunction with all relevant parties, ensuring that agreed timelines are achieved
  • Assist with the workflows for all audit engagements, act as both an internal reference and escalation point for audit issues
  • To keep up to date with all relevant regulatory and accounting changes and assist with re-engineering of processes where necessary
  • To liaise with clients and auditors to ensure that the financial statements are audited and filed with the relevant regulatory bodies and Stock Exchanges on a timely basis
  • Assist with ensuring effective oversight of outsourcing vendors in accordance with Outsourcing Policy and to ensure high service levels are maintained
  • Preparation and review of client CBI regulatory returns (DIFR, MMIF, Monthly NAV return etc.)
  • Other ad hoc projects

 


Qualifications & Experience required for this role:

  • Finance/Business graduate, Qualified/Part qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA) an advantage
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a financial reporting department, audit experience or fund administration roles
  • Understanding of accounting standards, primarily IFRS, US GAAP and FRS 102 a benefit
  • Be able to take responsibility and resolve issues as they arise
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent organisational and Microsoft office skills
  • Knowledge of Fund Accounting/Investor Services or other accounting platforms an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
